That certainly wouldn’t hurt anything, would help keep dirt out but I could never get the stock boots to stay in the right place and I havent spent the time to engineer a better solution

The upgraded tie rods are a must for me, but it is pretty incredible what the stock tie rods can take with the extender a lot of guys run

Here’s the new upgraded rack accessories, brass bushings with additional seals to add support and keep the rack from hating me in 6 moths :fingerscrossed:

Can you show how you mounted the pump? And what pulley?
My whole hydro assist went belly up and I need to replace everything. Don't want OEM but this "kit" you bought isn't available any more

    Some stickers
solo motorsports claims 30 percent bump in pressure on their modded tundra rack. wonder what steering would look with a pcs pump working higher pressures. Im ready for there to be a solution.

Did you happen to see if it is in fact the u joint on the lower steering shaft all bound up. I see that alot and feels like you have no power steering and feels a bit notchy.

Try to put the truck in neutral and idle it. Hard to turn the wheel?
Now rev the engine in neutral and try again. If it works now you either still have a leak or you have a bad ujoint in the lower intermediate steering shaft.

Try hitting it generously with WD40. It could be a short term (as in a couple days or weeks) fix but will return. FYI, that thing can be rebuilt:

@jjhitchen how is the upgraded rack holding up?

Not sure if this is a dumb idea or not but Is it possible to just reroute the hydraulic lines to an external ram?

the rack started to fail on the last trip unfortunately, I kept it alive by topping off the reservoir throughout the weekend.

I’ll be exploring the tundra rack or a “rack saver” brace going forward.

That is a purdy piece of equipment,

Turning radius in exchange for ruggedness is something I’m open too, I rarely drive on the streets or parking lots. But I did use every bit of turning radius to get out of a tight sand wash a few weeks ago.. hmm

I did hydro for 1200. A lot of it was on sale but that is an option if you are handy with a welder and grinder.

My thought exactly. A hose can rip internally creating a flap that acts like a check valve. It’s not common but it is possible.
