Any OR owners running Michelin Defender® LTX® M/S 265/75R16 116T?

I’m considering Michelin Defender® LTX® M/S size 265/75R16 116T’s as my next tire purchase. My truck is my daily driver and 95% Highway/Street driving. I’m mainly looking for pictures of DCLB’s without a lift but any constructive comments or thoughts are welcomed.
Note: I ran Michelin’s on my previous truck (1998 Ford Ranger 4x2) for about 15 years and was very happy with them.

 

Not sure if you care but they weigh about 10# more than stock tires, you'll lose a couple of mpg's.

 

Hmm ... I guess the information I looked up is incorrect then. My research shows they actually weigh 2 lbs less than the OEM tires

 

It's a great tire, one of the best all around for durability, noise and comfort.

I wouldn't bother going up a size personally. I'd stick to 265/70R16 if I were running a standard street tire.

No worries ... that’s why I posted the questions, there are just so many options out there.

 

I'm looking at the Defenders and Bridgestone Dueler A/T. About the same weight.

 

I'm running Michelin ltx ms defenders 265/70/r16's on my 2020 trd pro. When I traded my '17 trd 4wd OR on the '20 trd pro I had the dealer swap my '17 wheels and tires with the goodyear tires and trd wheels. My goodyears only had a couple thousand miles and I don't like the TRD wheels. i don't know how much it affected the mileage since I have a bajarack and Caliraisedled sliders adding quite a bit of weight. The goodyears are OK but not near as good a tire as the Michelins. I recently took the truck across the Old Ore Road in big bend national park. It has not been maintained for quite some time and the tires performed quite well. No mud encountered. But on the highway where most of my driving is done, Michelins just can't be beat.

Can’t go wrong with Michelin tires .. I say go for it let us know how it works out .

 

I waited for over a year n a half for Michelin to start producing the NON LT (116T) 265/75R16 Defender LTX MS. I tried so many different tires and A L W A Y S regretted not going back to ye ole MS2 (now known as the LTX MS). FINALLY fall of 2019 they started making them again, i got rid of the SHITTY Cooper AT3 LT Load range C 265/75R16's and I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

You literally will not find a better tire than the Defender LTX MS. Dry grip, wet grip, icy road / light snow on road, wear life, road noise, rolling resistance, all WAY better than anything else.


Unless you off road A LOT, or need a mud / deep snow tire seriously look no further than the LTX MS.

 

I just had 265/70 Michelin Defenders installed on mine about a week ago. Only put 100 miles on them so far, but so far I really like them. Quiet and smooth. I noticed they tramline on rain grooves quite a bit, but that'll likely subside after they break in a bit.

 

I had them (or at least an earlier version) on my previous truck and really liked them. I’m just hoping someone has pictures of them in the 265/75 size on an OR

 

I can get a pic of my 2nd gen if you wish. They aren't the best lookers (not aggressive looking) but dayum they will past the rest on the road doing what they do as tires

I am really looking forward to upgrading to the Michelins in 265/75R 16. As others have said the stock Goodyear Kevlar are okay, but with only 7 months/10K miles on them, many of the lugs have started tearing apart. I’ve done some moderate off roading on rocky and sandy terrain but nothing crazy.

I have put Defenders on my F-150 and have about 30K miles on them. They have been the best all around tire I’ve ever had.

 

Tough balance for a lot of owners because functionally they're great, they just dont have that more aggressive AT look than many are going for.
