    I love northern Michigan and the U.P. as it's also closer to me by a day. I looked at several lots on Drummond Island in fact. Both states have a lot of trails to explore, and plenty of snow, but I just prefer a dry climate. Also South Dakota doesn't have any black flies. :)

    This is BLM land just nearby...

    I hear you on both the black flies and dryer climate... I used to think I didn’t like hot weather, then we started to go to Arizona & Palm Desert in the winter. Found out it’s not heat I dislike, it’s humidity
