Totally agree that's why I'm going to a dealership 30 miles away next week. The picture on the previous post is unbelievable. I knew they called them Taco's because they fold in half. Lol

Just so you know that's Graham Toyota in Mansfield Ohio. Avoid them like the plage or coronavirus.

You may have to hustle but I imagine you can find someone to go with it. It's bad to me just in a few pictures and I'm not Californian. I see my share of rust.

I think after 20 yrs. of it Toyo. is just tired of frame replacement. Time to make shitty engines that won't outlast the chassis.

edit: Ah, just talking out my butt. 30K miles is nothing. They just never meant them to last decades and still don't. A million miles? Sure..hurry up and get 'em done.

What are you on about? It's been a quarter of a century since the 3.nope.

The 3.0, otherwise refered to as the 3.nope was a weak sauce v6 Toyota offered in the early 90s that was known for warping heads and eating oil.

Don't really know of any other Toyota engines that ever had a bad reputation. So I'm not sure would that guy means when he's going on about Toyota trucks having bad engines in them.

Quick update, carefully knocked off the heavy rust went to another dealer and now have a failed inspection. Just waiting on corporate approval. Thanks to everyone who gave me good advice. Will keep you posted.
