I'd just let it ride and not worry about it. Make a shuttle segment - see who nabs the leaderboard.

Was a great ride yesterday though. Shuttled to show some guys that have never ridden there more trails. @tweakit88 @BamaTaco56 and @whitedlite thanks for coming to ride.

@whitedlite took a nice spill into a creek bed, you can see my bike in the top left of the photo. I hear “I’m ok!” So I turn around and I’m like “uh where are you at?” Then walked back and found him upside down. Yes I made sure he was truly ok before taking a photo haha

Yeah, that's why I don't use that "pause/resume" feature. just a hassle. If I'm shuttling, I either stop my ride entirely at the bottom and restar tat the top OR I just let it run and then I split and crop my ride later.

I didn’t know you could spilt and crop your ride? Is that only if you pay for strava?

negative. available on all. You can crop on your mobile device. click on the ride and on the top right, tap the three dots and you can see the "crop" feature. Splitting can only be done on the browser. similar story, click the ride, click on the three buttons on the left hand side and you'll see crop and split.

It only splits into 3 rides at a time so sometimes you have to make 3, then take th elast one and split that even more later. it's a bit of a hassle sometimes but I think it's worth it if you want accurate information. edit: as accurate as you can get from strava and gps. :/

RTT/Bike bedrack setup has been sold. Kinda sad, but I know my future cheapo van conversion will be much better.....or a carbon wheelset

In Moab, you cannot mountain bike without a van.:D

I saw more badass vans last week in Moab than I think I have seen my whole life. There were so many it was incredible. Like Toyota Prius in LA or ford trucks in Texas.

Ugh, I hate the "off road" sprinter van trend so so much. I understand the appeal of them in general, but I just loathe this...

I hate any vehicle with a front bumper like that

Honestly that thing makes even the most tricked out vehicles you see on most fireroads seem minimalist.

This would be sweet to roll up to the bike parks in. Can even paint it like the mystery machine.

Admittedly that's an extreme example, but I'd include any sprinter van with a bumper and winch on my hate list.

Also, the beauty of Moab is that I regularly see some pretty sweet VW Syncros driving around down there.

yeah, i don't quite understand this. I understand different tires to help these vans go a little off the beaten path. but making it more offroad capable than most trucks doesn't make a lot of sense.

I also dont like those bumpers. they look god awful. The only front bumper I've seen that I even remotely like is the ADD Honey Badger bumper. everything else just looks like an underbite. :/

I’d like to get a van at some point but yeah I’m not a fan of all the stuff going on there. Although that does look like an SAS, I’m curious how useful it is though with the center of gravity.

I'm actually considering a mobile bike shop business using a 4WD Sprinter. I think there's a big hole in the East Coast urban markets for a decent mobile franchise, and those vans are nearly perfect for that purpose.

I considered simply franchising with someone like Velofix, but I can't stand their ridiculous Apple-store approach with matching uniforms, etc. Their revenue sharing numbers are also pretty terrible for franchisees.

That would be pretty cool. I’ve seen Velofix on occasion. I feel like it would do pretty well up here. I’m wondering how they are doing right now.

that would be a good opportunity to buy a sprinter and do repairs part time and use it for fun on the weekend. Idk how tax stuff works business wise though haha

Yes, this is wayyy too much for me! lol. Im talking about thinking to buy a old cheap cargo van. Or Passenger Van with a higher ceiling top, and just gutting it out to build out the inside for a queen bed with storage for most camping essentials and a sink, but im not going for the extreme offroad "Broverland" machine haha like this one. But im gonna be doing this all while trying to buy a house which further complicates things budget-wise so its gonna take some time to get it to where i want it to be once i find a decent one.

Yeah, I just need bed, bike storage, kitchen, and a dose of electricity for lights and stuff. nice to have would be a shower system and enough power for my laptop. but again, nice to have. that's about it for me. pretty doable. But until then, i'll keep driving my truck.
