What is all recommended for a 2nd gen Tacoma with 3 inch lift setup & 6 inch. I'll be buying one next year & haven't made my mind up on lift size. I've never had the chance to ever have a lifted truck so I'm in the dark. Tell it all from smoothest ride setup to cheapest. I know it's recommended to change the rear end for a 6 inch lift so I would definitely like to know the gearing for that. I like to see picture difference between a 3 inch & a 6 inch to help me make up my mind if y'all don't mind. Thanks!
Oh, no heavy 4 wheel driving. Just crossing the creek & going up the mountain on half ass graded road.

Just remember with the 6” drop bracket kit you have to cut the frame so going back to stock or going back to 3” is a PIA.

You will get better advice if you describe how you intend to use your truck, your mechanical abilities, a rough budget, ... The majority seam to hate a drop bracket lift, which is what you'd have to get for a six inch lift. But there are some that a drop bracket works just fine for.
If you do not know how your going to use it just get some Bilstein 5100 or 6112s, Dakar Leaf pack, superbumps and rock it.
