I was just messing around at the Lakeshore trail and on one of the steep hills, as I was cresting the hill going down, my back left wheel came off the ground (I’ve had that happen plenty times before) but this time I lost about 95% of my braking power And started going down pretty fast. The brakes came back on around 10% of the way down so it wasn’t too bad but any idea what caused that?

Also possible the right rear wheel came off the ground too or had little force on it. Maybe the front two brakes couldn’t hold the weight of the truck? It was pretty steep

This damn dude at yellowhammer roofing almost refused to give me his estimate without seeing the amount insurance was given me.

I just straight up said, dude I don't mind telling you insurance allowed amount, but it will not be before you send me the estimate for the exact job and quality you were telling me about. Trying not to leave money on the table I get that, but that's not how you do business. He sold himself on quality, just because he's not the cheapest doesn't mean I won't go with him.

Damn salesman I tell ya, guy said "man it just kinda sucks after I came out there twice and did all that work." You damn salesman just harassed the insurance company is all.
I work with salesman selling 100k to 1 Mil dollar machinery, you don't think they do months of work and still may not be chosen. Sorry venting.

it's kinda shady to ask before, now if you quote and they say they can't do that because insurance. Then you can ask well how much are they giving you and let's see if we can change some options you had selected.

Because then you're not giving them the shittiest option at the highest price.

They shouldn't even be allowed to ask about insurance. Give the quote and move along. Treat it like we do in the ER. Our price doesn't chance b/c someone has insurance

Mine doesn't either with garage doors, I charge based on work performed, and it's the same for everyone.
The only way my price changes is if I drive extra. I will say some of these elderly people that bump their sensors out of alignment I've drove by fixed those talked with them a bit and they ask what do I owe you, I say nothing. They usually give me a $20 and when they call me back for replacement later they don't even ask for quotes anymore. They just say get me a door and install it when you can.

I had someone that expected me to install their door for like chump change because I do it by myself here in Alabaster.
I was like because I workout and am young and can pick up these double car garage doors by myself doesn't mean I'm selling myself short.
My work is generally better than the big companies because I do not advertise, it's all word of mouth, and that travels quick.

I also had someone who was talking with my brother, he went to measure a job, and I know these people kinda.
The lady bugged my brother about a price so he just threw a number out there to get her to shut up. Well it was about $60 under what I usually charge, but I honored it.
Anyways, she sounded like the world was going to end when I told her the rate. So i called my brother and confirmed what he told her. I wasn't mad at all, just irritated about the lady.

Everyone should read, "RICH DAD, POOR DAD" and learn how to manage their expenses and quit trying to impress their neighbor.
