    Mine is an Odyssey 34R-790.

My friend's 2018 has a Northstar but that's all I know about it.

Hey OP - Any interest in using this? It may be useful for the group to track what is out there and what can be utilized with some confidence that it has worked for others in the same battery boat....Not sure how this would be used in the forum. Never posted an excel sheet.

Today I actually just sent a test map over to my buddy with the 2018 to try to further dial this in.

I took a closer look at your values for our 2016-17 trucks and mathed out the percentages you raised them by, and then applied that to the 2018 OEM values and sent that over to him.

He's in the middle of packing for a move right now so idk when he'll test, but I'm sure he'll flash it this evening or tomorrow and let me know how it goes

I'm a little skeptical of it actually working because of that difference in PD2 values between ours and his, but we'll see what happens and it'll give me a better place to start from for providing settings that will do what yours do: start off higher at cold start and taper down

Sent over another AGM edit to my buddy in case the other one doesn't work out, This one I raised the Base Duty 13.6 tables to Shellshock's 102.296 and raised the 30-160 values based on engine temp in the first table up a bit to prevent them from falling as far, we'll see how that goes.

    You've a 2018?

I actually need to find out if all 2018+ MY's have that difference in values for PD1 and PD2, compared to 2016-17

Oh, well then the settings I'm on from Banjo are g2g, I reported my findings last week. Unless you're looking to have them bumped up further?

The ones I'm running on my own truck start off higher and taper appropriately. A bit on the low end of Banjo's intended target range, but still within those limits he was looking for

These are the settings I'm using on my 2017 MT. The results are posted somewhere ahead in this thread, late last week. My battery as stated previously is an Odyssey 34R-790

    PXL_20201019_123230832.jpg

When working on doing something similar for a 2018 AT, I worked out the percentages that @banjoist13 had increased the PD values by for our 2016-17 trucks. Here they are (I didn't math out the differences for the first table dealing with engine temp):

    PXL_20201019_123259031.jpg

The two maps I've sent over to my buddy are the results of that math. I sent out one where I increased the 04A61 OEM values by these percentages, and then another where I raised the Base Duty 13.6 tables to the same values used in @Shellshock 's AGM edit.

At least we know through proven testing that Shellshock's edit works properly as a fallback. When in doubt, his values will have your AGM battery at an appropriate voltage, and it won't drop.

What I'm working on is just building off of Banjo's successful work on our 2016-17 MY's, and trying to adapt that taper to a 2018

Can somebody please explain this battery “tuning”? Is it configuring optimal battery usage/efficiency/longevity. Clearly I’m at a loss.

It's for AGM batteries. If you have stock or anything other than AGM then this isn't for you.

Tried out banjoist13's settings again on 04B04 and got around 14.2-14.56. Went back to Shellshock's settings of alternating 90/95 and got 14.2-14.6.

I'm using an Odyssey 34R-PC1500T AGM battery which I believe calls for 14.7 charging. I'll keep watching this thread for progress. Thanks for all your contributions thus far.

***Edited as I tried both again and ensured cold start and tested at terminals of both files.***

I’m running your settings but I usually peak at ~14.4-14.5. I’d like to bump that up to 14.7. Which of the values should I change and how much roughly to start with?

Change all the 94s to 95 and you should be set.
