Mine is dry, but they used some clear silicone along with the added foam up there in the front bed corners (and under the factory bedrails despite the lip). I have the bedrug mat XL. Check that out, doesn’t do the sides of the bed but covers back to the tailgate. I bought mine on Amazon deals for $100 usually $200+. Good call on doing it right the first time. I have a hard top trifold cover, then went to a bestop which I disliked and defeated the security purpose imo. Returned that and bit the bullet on a what I wanted. Not cheap, but it’ll stay on the truck since I can flatbed trailer anything bulky. I would imagine the sumo springs would have a downside on fast washboard or whoops but I don’t really do that stuff. I like the stiffer ride they provide. I bought my own SS eye boots for the roof rail bolts and installed a double net system in top. It’s great watching my daughters soccer games from when it’s cold and rainy. Sit back there with my wife and son with coffee and a sportcat propane heater on bleacher seats lol.

I have to say this looks like what I’m looking for including the roof racks. Was all of this standard options with ARE at your local canopy dealer or did you have to add any yourself?

I hope the AG paint is a good match!

What are you going to use the inside roof hooks for?

Edit.. I. Guessing for a netting but don't need the hooks for that

Ditch lights, front LED light bar, leather seat covers, bed tonneau cover.
Do you by chance know what specific legs go with the tracks to install the racks?

I don’t know about the OP’s reasons but there’s always something to hang or just dry out when I’ve been camping.

Kind of why I was asking without trying to be rude. 'Heavy duty' roof hooks are easily installed without having to pay the up charge.

I planned on installing some on my own which I did afterwards. Great for putting up a net and a few other things.

I almost went cheap and decided I would do the carpet headliner install myself too. Glad I didn't because it was worth the 100 bucks rather than my time (measuring, fabricating cutting and install). From factory its very clean

Your shell looks great! Im happy with my leer i got new last year. Its on a 2015 so different from the third gens but mine hasn't leaked yet (knock on wood)
Might want to contact the installer about that and see if they have any input.
If you want to replace the Leer sticker on the side im trying to come up with something
Ill try to put this link in here not my idea but I'm trying to work off of it

Oh absolutely. And sometimes it’s nice to have things financed with the deal. Especially with the low interest rates right now.

If you install the hooks or Thule tracks yourself it can void the warranty. The warranty covers leaks if they install at the factory. Peace of mind has a price, and when you’re already $3000 in what’s another $100? I got all the options except those hooks, but they would have been great to have.

I think you are misinformed at least on the hook part. I hade the tracks installed through the factory. All I had to do was take off the nut add the hooks. I will say mine aren't the ones from leer and they aren't actually hooks rather tie off points.

A small bit of silicone does wonders.
I've installed tracks on my older shell and never had a problem

My post above about leaks was more towards the seal against the bed

It’s possible, I’ve been misinformed before. I understand how the hooks attach, I considered doing that but am getting ready to sell my shell, so no point.

not quite sure yet ... I went with every option avail... I did notice that the way engineered these hooks that it adds a separate support in the roof itself which can’t hurt ... I’m telling you they are stout like a rock
