Cab/body mount chop

    3 inch lift, 295/70r18
    Just wondering if anybody knew any places that I could get a cab mount chop done near Birmingham alabama, or in northern alabama in general? I have an 08 and am trying to fit bigger tires.

    Wouldn’t that compromise the structure of the truck in a wreck?

    I’d say 90% of TW have gotten the body mount chop, and 95% of those have welded a plate to cover the new opening.

    Unless you’re under the impression that the actual body mount gets chopped? If so, that’s not the case it’s the frame piece protruding in front of it inside the wheel well that gets chopped.

    This gets chopped:
