I reaaaally didn’t wanna ask this but I’m low on options at this point.

I recently swapped my front rotors for Brembo blanks + new OEM pads. It’s making noise when I’m braking from a very slow speed (under 10mph)...the noise doesn’t always happen. I’ve reinstalled the pads a couple times to no avail...each time I greased them differently. I’ve tried adding a dime size of grease between the two holes and added the shims....I then tried evenly spreading the grease between the pad and both shims. Both methods still made noise. The contact points between the pad and calipers are greased. Does anyone have any ideas of what else I can check out?

The noise isn’t a metal on metal screech but rather it almost sounds like a low toned violin lol.

Also, I’m using the purple grease from permatex...I misplaced the stuff Toyota included.

Again, the noise doesn’t always happen but when it does, it’s when I’m easing on the brakes at a very slow speed.

i thought they might’ve been an upgrade over the stock rotors. Do you think they’re causing the noise?

I had a little less than 70k on the oem ones.

rotors + pads are Best matched

in many cases they are...............especially OEM ( doesnt mean they are track ready 0

no doubt there is an upgrade out there

very much like compounds for tyres

getting the right combination to expected driving

aggressive rotors/pads are NOT suited for commuter driving

they will glaze actually reducing braking

    cant say what U have

these are what I have on

    https://www.brembostoreusa.com/product/09b46111-brembo-front-left-or-right-319mm-6-lugs-coat-vented-disc-brake-rotor-brembo-for-toyota-n

Nobody online seems to be using them with OEM pads like I am. Do you think I should just swap the OEM rotors back on?

If there was nothing wrong with the oe rotors, I’d start there.

i cant say Uv done anything wrong

cant say changing back is the thing to do.....................simply likely

if i were goin OEM....................OEM All the way

if Brembo ..............i would use matching components

they make brake components for EVERYBODY !!!!!!! ALL makes & sizes !!!! COPIED BY EVERY1

    mixing & matching = infinite combinations...........................s o m e

    B E T T E R than others

had some that wanted added ‘ braking ‘ bought a reputable aftermarket set up ( Not Brembo )

the initial bite was Phenomenal !!!!!!! YET NO Way to tell if overall braking stopping distances were Better

thing is the pads wore out the rotors Quicker......................$$$$$ spent improvement questionable

    Brembo makes very good equiptment

    matched up provide Great results

not sure U have the right combination
