John Deere experts: The E-series tractors are their economy models, right? And that's all that is sold through retailers?

E series is their compact tractor line. (Same size as my kubota). They have a couple different models in the e series line that vary in Hp and features, but all stay in that same size category.

 

Your Kubota beside the barn?? Are we both talking lawn tractors here? Unfortunately, all I need is a lawn tractor..

 

Yea I think so. Im pretty sure it was the e series Deere I was weighing against the kubota, but maybe they have multiple e lines or maybe I’m mistaken .

 

I looked real quick and the lawn tractors are Exxx model numbers and the actual tractors are xxxE. So yeah..... I can't afford a real tractor. Them things ain't cheap!

No expert but yes.. I have a E160 and bought it at Home Depot during a spring sell. Works well to mow roughly my 1 acre cleared but I kinda wish I would have went with a 3 series or a kubota bx series. Depends on your needs but 2k for it is not bad. Attachments can be added but not sure it would have much power for a snow blower persay.

 

You dont have a lawn tractor.

 

A lawn tractor by traditional terms is a riding lawn mower that is not a zero turn.

I'm glad I found your post. I just did a search here for Kelly Tires as I had just stopped by a Goodyear shop to get a ballpark on some new ones that had a more aggressive tread for getting off road. I'll be mostly on asphalt so I'm wondering how your tires are for noise. Are they reasonable quite on the highway? I like to looks of them. I have USAA also and I was not aware of that program. Thanks for the intel.

Anyway, did anyone else see the new video/ commercial for the new all electric Hummer EV???. 1000 hp, 4 wheel steering, ride height control, etc.
They premiered it during "The Voice" tonight yes, I admit to watching it. Shut up

 

Gots a E140 myself. It works (bought this past summer). Blows a puff of smoke at start up. has been that way since day one. My old Husqvarna 20 horse single has been awesome at 15 years old with the Kohler motor. Only bought the Deere because the drive pulleys finally went to shit and needed a mower for a project.

Yeah I could have put the project off a week, but didn’t wanna because of already doing so once before. So I spent 2k as of opposed to maybe 50 buckaroos. That said, gonna give the Deere to my kiddo next spring for her place.

I will say, the steering on the Deere is effortless compared to my older rig.

Looks like an fj with a bed, but 11,500 lb ft of torque!! I have no idea what that feels like but I bet it’s fun.

Real talk though, the price is too much even with all that tech, and the fact that it's a GM product gives me some reservations.

 

This. I get that kind of tech is expensive, and that is some cool shit...but damn, those prices are pretty steep.
