Thinking about upgrading my stock to the TRD cat back exhaust. Truck is fully stock and not lifted. Are you able to install without a vehicle lift/jack, just on the garage floor? Thanks!

Highly recommend at least a jack. It's tough pulling the pipe out and over the axle without jacking up the truck.

Agreed with what @pinochle said. Jack the right side as high as you can go. Makes for easy work.

I would also recommend exhaust hanger pliers:

And, a dab of vaseline or other lube for sliding them back on.

Doable without the jack stands, but jack stands will help for sure. If you don't use jack stands you'll want to for sure lower or remove the spare. Getting that bend over the rear axle can be a pain in the ass if you're doing this on your own on the ground.

    OMGLOL!

So... silicone spray will work as well. Also... channel lock pliers will work if you don't want to buy the exhaust hanger pliers.

Yes! Credit to @Bertw192 . He loaned me his while I tried to do the pre-axle dump at home. We got half way there.

Just the tip was a problem.

Brake clean works best imo. Makes the rubber super slick. U just gotta be fast though. That's why I usually use, and my hand.

NO! Dries out the rubber for issues in the future.
