It was incredibly easy to get ARB to warranty my Dakars. I sent them a pic of the leafs and a copy of my invoice, and they're shipping me new ones in 4-5 weeks. Since the EL096R are discontinued, they'll send me EL112R. Once I receive them, I'll be listing them for sale locally for $400. This will help offset the cost of my new icons and also give someone a nice discount since new they're $530.

What was wrong with your Dakars? Mine suck. I hate them.

This. They still worked fine, but they rode stiff which is why I switched to the Icon RXT. Then it dawned on me to at least reach out to ARB to see if they'd warranty them, and here we are. So I'm giving these away for free (already have a new home).

Mine squeak (actually creaking is a better way to describe it). Unless I constantly keep them lubed they make a ton of noise. I wish they would warranty them for that.

I've never really had an issue with that but I kept the bushings regularly greased and only used a dry lube in the leafs.

Attached is the official pdf from ARB on how to mitigate the squeak.

I jack up the rear of the truck getting them to droop all the way out and use this in between the leafs as best as I can get it. I even put it all around the bushings and mainly focus on the pads in between the leafs. It stops the squeak and usually needs reapply every 6 months which isn’t too bad in my opinion.

My exciting mod for the day. Ordered the double cab version of this piece which is blank. In my access cab it has a hole to turn off the passenger airbag, which I’ve literally never done. Moved my mic holder to this because it looks a bit cleaner without the writing poking out from behind it.

This is the before. You can see it not centered and the wording beneath it if you zoom in. I broke the piece recently removing it and figured that's as good a reason as any to make it look nicer.

I like mods like this that are big on return, and little on thought or effort.

I agree. I have a couple more interior pieces on the way and I'll finally stop messing around with it because I've got it where I want it. Uncluttered, clean and simple. Eventually I want new seats but that will be a little while.

Yea, my next major move is to get all my lighting installed and running. I have that digital switch I want to mount like Jerry did, and I have to fix my 32" lightbar frame with some JB Weld before I can mount it behind the lower grill. I have the brackets. Then I want to run all the rooftop wiring including the HAM antenna between the cab and the cap and under then up through the floor board.

Package deal on the seats? I'd love to do what Brian did, but the red is no bueno.

I'm most likely going to get corbeau seats. They make brackets so it will bolt right up into the tacoma and I don't have to deal with any airbag nonsense because my truck is old. I can get both seats and brackets for about a grand, if not a little less.
