Haha, silly choice huh? The Rocky Mountain was tempting with the specs and being carbon.

Dude, NSFW...it's beautiful. I think I'll pull the trigger on it then. It's an XL so it would fit better than the Rocky being a medium.

    Exact same thought I had.

The right bike in the wrong size still ends up being the wrong bike.

LOL! I've ridden a medium with similar geo, and it was a decent fit, obviously easier to flick around, but not perfect obviously. Going to grab the Sentinel here in a bit!

The Sentinel due to the Transition SBG is definitely smaller in the cockpit for the size than other bikes. Despite a much smaller wheelbase, my stache feels bigger between seat and bars by a long shot.

I can attest those Rocky frames run small too. I normally ride a medium in most bikes and I got sized for a large on the 2018 instinct and altitude. If you fit on an Xl you would be hitting your knees with the handlebars on the instinct.

Will do! I was also considering a Commencal Meta AM.

Demo’d one for two days. Coming from a 140/120 Django it was actually really efficient and TONS of grip pedaling up stuff. It corners on rails and prefers downhills but was not a drag to pedal compared to the Devinci Troy I once rode.

Been thinking the same thing. Would be a great part time gig.

Really? Get the tranny and rip shit up

Are the smaller wheels the deciding point? Have you ridden a new 29er? There’s not much left that the smaller wheels do better than the new breed of 29ers.
I’d say commit to either the shorter Following, or go balls deep for the Wreckoning. I’ll say this, the new Wrecker pedals better than any mid travel bike I’ve ever ridden. And it’s got a shit load more travel, and the plush of the coil.
If you’re 100% set on 27.5, wait a little bit and I’m sure they will drop the new one. They’re currently on the older frame model, and the new ones are way better in terms of kinematics, hardware, longevity, geometry, and looks.

Oh, and I just found out Ground Keeper is letting you do full custom fenders, top caps, and now frame protection...
I’ve been stuck on this site for a bit...

My truck also has all that stuff, plus a shelter you can stand up inside. All for less than the price of an empty sprinter, and in a package that is actually capable off road.

Part of my gripe with the vans is that you just don't need that kind of interior space unless you're living out of it or don't actually enjoy being outside when you're camping. It's just not worth the money if you actually like to... camp.

OK, bike things. I blew up my rear tire tonight. It's a pretty new DD aggressor, so that's a bummer. I was really hoping the ride would be a pick me up after a shitty day at work, but alas.
