40k sr5 ...what the hell

At my local dealer they have a black edition sr5 priced at 40k ...lol

 

That’s insane. That’s almost 5k more then I paid for my 2019 OR. Must be a temporary supply and demand thing due to Covid. Used prices are through the roof as well.

 

Sad thing is they will sell it too

 

Damn Toyota is charging $55 for D rings now.

Toyota forgot to pass on the big savings of manufacturing Tacomas in Mexico. Toyota is saving at least 90% in labor cost compared to manufacturing in the US. Wages actually went down in Mexico after NAFTA.

 

$7500 more than my 19 OR long bed with technology pkg etc. I noticed the other day the 21 Tacos on the lot were about the same as some lower optioned white 4x4 Tundras on the lot. One of the Tacos even had that stupid cooler bed contraption.

 

I heard there were supply issues. If you don't need one now chill out and let the market work, supply will pick back up especially if the prices are high.

 

The crazy thing is that this is a 2020 and the 2021 are slowly starting to come in. Maybe it is a supply and demand scenario

In that case I won’t comment, I’m not up to date on the big pink bow market. Free truck sounds nice though

Yes. They are. Was just looking at several 21s (OR & Sport). Several right at $50k. Mind boggling. The SR5s were around 38k
