Yeah, it would make sense, but COVID also caused major disruptions and it’s hard to say exactly how it affected their business from the outside looking in.

Most definitely, this virus crap has to have interrupted supply chains and caused all sorts of issues we are not even aware of.

IMO It is both that bad... I paid 38k for my sr 4cyl with sxt package (I believe they only sell this package on the south east) it include high performance shoxs, aftermarket rims, etc... only downside compared with this sr5 is that mine did not come with the gift bow.....

If you can get a salvaged auction Tacoma as a dealer and intend on “flipping it” then maybe it’s makes sense to get a used Tacoma to Eventually sell.

    32k is 1,000 bucks less than I paid for a brand new 4x4 4 door auto sr5 .

Two of my friends also purchased new Tacoma’s for 34k(in 2016 sr5) and 34k(in 2017 TRD OR MT)

Just look at the manufactures MSRP on the window sticker and say I’ll give you -500 less or bust.

That's not always true. It depends on resale value and what discount you can get on a new vehicle. When I started looking at 4runners, low mileage used ones were $35K+. I bought new for $38.6K. Even with haggling, the used ones would have been within $4-6k of what I paid for a brand new vehicle.

If people buy it at this price it'll only go up.

And for some people to really think they got their truck for that, when in reality they paid for it in the back end of the deal, or were screwed on their trade.

That's because it's the TRD cat back system with welded on black chrome tip. The chrome tip add-on for the stock is $90.

This does seem to be a loaded SR5 4X4 so therefore i’m not surprised its $40K.

Coming soon: Compact powered sub install Future mods planned: bigger tires (265/75/16) BILLSTIEN 5100 lift
Very loaded. All the Tech packages you can get on and sR5. Some useless stuff like the black chrome exhaust.
I paid 33,600 for my sr5 double cab 4x4 in July. Of course no extra tech packages. I added my own bed light for half the sticker cost.

I forgot to add that DCLB variants appear to command a premium.

Stealership....That's why I intend to keep my 2006 SR5 until the end of the world....or until the frame rusts away...or until my (not under warranty) timing chain cover leak explodes into a fireball, or my airbag fails to deploy....what other recalls have there been on 2nd gen Tacomas? 40k? no thanks...I don't want to delay the inevitable in the latest gen Tacoma.

I had my 2010 frame replaced along with the leafs and brake lines for free cause New England. And that was a year and half ago my buddy owns it and it looks brand new. Just spray it with a salty water solution for a year and get a new one.

You didn't pay MSRP, that is MSRP, its also loaded with accessories, no one should or hopefully would pay MSRP on an SR5.

That was pretty close what my 2020 sr5 went for plus some extra options and processing fees. I could of easily bought a lower trim 2020 tundra, or a 2019 leftover with more options for what these tacoma are going for.

Drop the floor mats and it's back in the 30's. Not so bad.
