On my last visit to Mexico I witnessed the most vicious disassembly of a lionfish, and just to add insult they rubbed lime in the wounds. It was delicious.

Had to double check and make sure I left Facebook a few times.

Jesus Christ, who cares if he embellished or not. It literally took a pages of self-righteous clowns before anyone actually offered helpful advice.

OP hasn't been seen in a year, someone needed attention or post counts so they revived this.

Well, I didn't plow through the previous 9 pages.

But, to me, it sounds like Toyota's diagnosis is likely spot on. Slamming sideways into a curb at any significant speed will damage many suspension components. The kinetic energy must be absorbed by something. The curb won't absorb much.

At this point, OP is kinda FUBARd with cancelled insurance. Not sure if I buy the whole scenario, doesn't matter. The truck needs work regardless how the damage occurred.

I'd suggest to have Toyota do the repairs. If you need a source of cash, a home equity loan can be a resource pool. As a DIY mechanic, suspension needs special tools to verify parts are straight and aligned. Most DIY mechanics don't possess these tools. If there is any doubt on a part's integrity, then it should be replaced. DON'T F around trying to "straighten" suspension parts.

Use a beat up crap box to drive south of the border, like a Ford Pinto from the 70's. The USA has no teeth for prevention of theft, I'm sure Mexico border has less prevention.

Figured it wouldn't increase the ratio and might help future posts to point out bullshit. But you know, go off.
