The only downside is freezing your ass off on the street to get to the woods. I just ordered some warmer MX gloves and a balaclava for the street rips.

I couldnt get to woods within 20 miles. only suggestion would be haul or backpack for the warmer road gear

Yeah I plan on stuffing the warmer gear in my tail bag. Planning on getting a USWE ranger 9 to hold my excess layers eventually but that probably wont be till next year.

I have the patriot. Great backpack. Personally id get the patriot again. Without anything in it, it is slim. But you have the room to stuff it.

Gopro mount tbd. Broke one right away, havent tried the replacement yet

    Bring your rain gear!

Want to try to hit up skyline? Meet somewhere in front royal and give it a go? I don’t know of your mil or not but the entrance fee is $25 for a bike. It’ll take me about an hour to get there from where I’m at.

Anyone have experience with Atlas throttle locks? I think I’m going to get one. My buddy keeps inviting me on some long trips but no way I’m going without cruise control

Check and see if they make a Kaoko throttle lock for your bike/bar end set up. Much cleaner look, IMHO. Really easy to roll on to set and roll off to un-engage.

How early are you willing to get up and get going on a Saturday morning? Have layers and a way to stow them if you get too warm? I have the rallye gear with rain liners so rain isn’t a big deal to me other than I’m overly cautious with it and I have tue top case for my thermals if I have to shed them. I can put the panniers on if you need storage to put shit.

How do you normally hold tue throttle for cruising? When I did my trip from SF to AZ and back I kept two fingers covering the front brake and clutch and used my palm with my thumb pointed down to pretty much hold the throttle in position. I do have cruise control but don’t recall using it.

    What about a palm

I could leave around 730am. I don't have any storage except a net for my backseat and a backpack

They look nice but I don’t think it’ll work with my grips. I’d have to try and navigate their site on my desktop, it’s not very intuitive on mobile.
With my hand? Lol I don’t know. But I like to shake out my arms every now and then and Don’t want to be cruising at 80 and then let go of throttle. I just want to lock it in place and relax haha

    Backpack should work!

Want to meet around 9 in front royal? There’s a shell station on N. Royal Ave we could meet at to top off the tanks and then head in.

Make a short trip of it and grab lunch afterwards?

Fair enough. I’m also a weird one and I don’t use cruise control in my 4R.
