As anticipated, I received my ECT always on module from @ funman1steve today, and it took 10 minutes to install it, and it works like a charm.
No more remembering to push that damn button every time I start my truck. Quickly shipped, great price, and customer service. Thanks Steve!

they do look similar and I can’t speak on BD, but I can tell you @crashnburn80 is the expert and you can read up on some of his threads comparing a wide variety, if not all, the options. He’s definitely the reason I went with DD instead.

No comparison at all, the Diode Dynamics product is vastly superior in output, with far more advanced efficient optics and has better cut offs. See the full reviews with all the details here: Diode Dynamics SS3 and Baja Designs

Thanks. This is really helpful. I’m confused why BD seems to be more well known and twice the cost...

Diode Dynamics has been around for some time, but they just came out with their first pods earlier this year and have priced them very aggressively. They have taken a new and unique approach to pod optics with their highly engineered TIR optics, which are far more efficient than traditional pods optics.

3inch lift, 18ich wheels with Toyo Tires. MBRP dual exhaust, Rough Country side steps and Gator tonneau cover. More to come....
The same reason I decided not to do the pro grille because like you said everyone has one now. It's actually a black ring off a 2016 to 2020 SR, did not paint it. I have terrible luck with painting.

I like the new grill on the TRD OR and sport. Prefer it over the Pro grill any day. Just need to get mine black to complete the blackout look I am going for

Just finished mounting my shovel/ax/Fire Extnghr combo onto the caliraised Molle panels and I love it. Quick and easy access to all three tools in case of emergency (yes its a $10 fire extinguisher from Lowe's held in place by a ziptie but it works for me). And I can't believe I never thought about getting a Tacoma bed mat with my previous Toyota's. This thing rocks ! This is the look I wanted for my "Hot Rod Lincoln" ! (I mean Hot Rod Taco lol).

All I'm waiting on now is my Tuffy cargo box for the other side of the bed and "Big Blue" will be complete (yeah right, mods never end). It's supposed to be here in three weeks (freaking COVID) and I can't wait. I have tie down straps, a log chain, a come-a-long, and some beans and bullets that will fit nicely inside the box. Cheers......

I really like that enlarged tuffy box. Never saw that before. $214.00 is a little too steep for me at the moment but seems like a great modification.

    Hey FlywtrJoe,
I paid $181 out the door from the factory in Colorado. Still a bit high like your $214 quote but I really want it because of the huge storage space. I copied that picture from a previous post but there are many others out there that are a lot cheaper.

Swapped all the driveline fluids except the front diffy. The drain plug 10mm hex is ruint. Dammit. All else was slick and easy, drives and shifts like a dream.

Just a heads up. The hinge on your Tuffy will rest on top of your bed mat. Anytime your mat gets wet that hinge will be in water and rust, and I mean really rust. The finish on the Tuffy is not very durable and the hinge is the most susceptible part to fail.
Removing mine because the hinge is shot and replacing with MobTown locking doors.
Thought you'd like to know. You could always trim your bed mat. I didn't want to trim mine. o_O

It's easy, just cut a rectangle, install box

    9mmMike;
You are absolutely right. My 2020 Tacoma does not have the factory box on the driver's side too. But I keep looking at where the factory box used to be, and that room in the fender well is still there. It's like Toyota got cheap all of a sudden and got rid of it. I can't wait to install it.

    RiveNutBob,
I never thot about that and your right....Crap. I guess some rust-olium spray paint will help.....(I hope).....

If you cut just a bit higher than the stock box would’ve been, wouldn’t that keep the hinge dry? Would that interfere with something else?
