I have three working FOB's with a spare minimalist fob case. I use them all. Depends on my mood for what color I want that day

Any timeframe on a restock of the regular minimalist (for smart key) fobs? I’d love to get a couple to match my voodoo blue.

Definitely excited for this! I have that BBP and I would love a nice blue button or so to go with that, bought the black casing for now, I'm sure a second one is in my near future once I get the first swapped over. Thanks again for all the hard work in getting this together and pushed out for all of us here!

@MESO After watching the install video I have one question. What's the purpose of the pin in the flip assembly? Mainly, when the time comes a few years down the road to replace the battery, is there going to be a problem opening the case and putting everything back together without that pin?

The pin is a retainer for the whole spring assembly which is pre-wound/pre-loaded. I found it's much easier do drop it in ready to go rather then have the customer try and wind the when installing. If you mess up or have to disassemble its really easy to rewind it and insert the pin. I made a video for that I will be posting soon.

Would this be the same for the TBD smart key minimalist flip?

I agree. I got a red and a black..... not sure why as one of my keys never gets used. I’ll probably use the red regularly so it’s easier to spot if I drop them and the black one if I’m dressed up nicer than usual and don’t want the rest of my keys on me.

@MESO Quick question because, let's face it, I'm having one of those dumb days (everyday). So we use the allen screw and remove the key (just the actual key end, not entire spring body) from the fob when having it cut? My brain is having diarrhea thinking about cutting it while assembled as a whole.

Take the whole fob assembled into your preferred locksmith to have it cut(that’s how I brought mine to my Toyota delearship). You *might* be able to have just the key end cut but they might require it to be installed in something so they can hang on to it when cutting.

I’m just going to mod my key. I mean the fob is destroyed already.

That is why I mentioned that option in my video. For me it’s more about time and the hassle of going over to the dealer. Plus I like cutting and grinding things :welder:
