    Yeah, the park was updating closures and wanted to map out mines with active roosts. We spent a year out there and saw a lot of underground. Summers were fun, 118°+ Outside but inside the mines it was in the 60’s. Saw a lot of cool stuff, couldn’t use a detector though! Thats ok, it was there to see, not to take!

    Currently in Hedrick, Iowa cleaning up some family property and a few other things.

    Gonna try to detect the grounds tomorrow, but it's been colder than shi* ever since we arrived this past Sunday morning.

    Anyways, it's supposed to warm up this Thursday?

    The picture was taken just outside of Hedrick as we were coming in. It was "snowing", but not enough to "stick" to the ground long enough. Other places/cities around Iowa were seeing snow though and the locals are telling my sister and I that it is a little bit unusual to be this early? Some places got up to 9in or something like that.
    IMG_20201018_101605516_HDR.jpg

    Annnnnyways, I'll try to get some detecting in. It is more of a "business" trip and having to take care of family/property related stuff.

    L8 people!!! :thumbsup::fistbump:

    I'll take a picture of the land/property too.

    There was an old school house on a part of the property that eventually ended up becoming my grandma's house. So I'm hoping to find something. There's a big dirt mound where the house used to sit though.

    Anyways, I'll take some pictures though.

    Every time I come visit this place, I ALWAYS ALWAYS get poison ivy and/or similar for some reason??? :bananadead::annoyed::frusty::facepalm: I've been SUPER CAUTIOUS when walking near any leaves and such!!! :help:

    But yeah, will do for sure.

    It is supposed to be about 65% chance rain today too. :facepalm:o_O

    Sounds like a great place to detect! Other than the poison oak.
    I hope you do well!
