    That's my vote as well.
The one drawback for the AOB one is that they go in and out of stock repeatedly.... (I havent looked if they are in or out of stock presently)

Thanks guys. That looks like the nicest button offered and I definitely want to locate it on the center console near the 4x4 selectors . I'll just need to wait until they come back in stock.
And I guess we should get the word out that we need another 20 guys to sign up for this so we can get them built!
    :)

It will be very cool to be able to use low range on dry payment.

We have gotten about 7-8 more people just this week that this post has been bumped to the top. Maybe that trend will continue.

If there is anyone that *has not* sent me a PM to get on the list yet, please do. Single posts in the thread are too easy to miss.

It's great to see the interest picking up again. I was starting to think it was going to take a lot longer to fill this time. It was only about 3 months last time.

Is the AOB switch button lighted?

So, there has been some discussion on this topic. I believe the kit for now has ignition switched power to the 2lo switch LED so it's on even when lights are off as long as the vehicle is on, then the top LED behind the icon will illuminate when the switch is pressed. Some think this is an odd way to do things, I think it's rather intuitive.

See this thread for OP's other work on pnp custom switch illumination.

Yes, it is illuminated. @daveeasa is correct. As wired the bottom (text) of the switch is always lit.

As for the PnP illumination, I have the updated quote but I have not had a chance to look at it. The business I work(ed) for is closing and I have been trying to sort shit out and figure out what *my* plan is. Signs point to doing independent contract work or basically starting my own business at this point.

    Good luck
It's scary, but doing 1099 contracting is some of the most satisfying and profitable work I have ever done (in the structures analyst area), but the work comes and goes and moves around alot.

It'd be nice if we could leverage our numbers to get 50 of the nice buttons all at the same time...

Tried that. 500 piece minimum custom order. AOB had no interest in working with me.

CH4x4 gave me a discount code to give out, but can't do the lighter blue color.

    *Edit*
Also, it would be too difficult to maintain stock of both sizes and multiple color options since I am not expecting to have enough demand to actually sell this as a product full time. That was the reason I originally gave up on supplying the switch with the kit. Too many choices, to little volume.

Can you buy another light blue switch and one with the right symbol and swap them out? Is that an easy task to do?

I've gotten prompt responses from them via email in the past. It might be worth a shot. The lousy part is being the distributor and collecting payment. But given the trouble with stock it'd be a nice option and service to the community.
AOB did that specifically for me so I could order new blue garage door momentary switches.

Those are out of stock right now too. I think the new blue led switch body is the problem. Unless you can dig one up then for sure ask away, they have been pretty responsive by email.

just no discounts but hey, capitalism is what it is.

Yeah, I did that as well. The two switches are not identical, or at least the two that I had (AOB and CH4x4). I managed to make it work though. You could also just swap LEDs but I didn't feel like de-soldering them.

I am talking about getting two from AOB. It appears they have a bunch of others with 2LO in stock, just not the right color. I think the internals would be the same and easy between brands.

Yep, that should be fine. It's a very easy swap. Just pop the clips off, pull the button face off and swap them.

I did it my way because I didn't like the symbol AOB used.

Okay, so now I'm getting a little button confused. Can someone summarize how to get the good button with the good logo in the right color?
