Too much to name for this little space
These are mainly called "full-width" bumpers that go all the way up to the headlights. Fab Fours Vengeance Bumper, Metaltech 4x4 Blackbird, Expedition one front bumper, Arcone industries phantom, and 4wd adventures front bumper.
Here's what the Fab Fours Bumper looks like on mine

I think the purpose is to ease installation and increase ability to revert back to factory. I don’t see why you would lose clearance over a full bumper that requires cutting of the stock bumper. I think both styles require you to remove the stock bumper. The difference is that the no-cutting style fills in the area below the headlight. But maybe I have a misunderstanding. I think I need to watch another installation video.

I found this video but it contains no verbal explanation of what they are doing.

It looks like there is still some cutting/trimming, but less than with your typical full bumper. I'm not sure it's s huge win.

I think that was one of the first bumpers to come on the market for the 3rd gen. The ones that followed tend to require cutting the stock bumper to leave the small section under the headlights.

My front bumper is already held together by zip ties, so I don't think I care about cutting it anymore.

Well, if adding over the factory bumper, it stands to reason you are loosing clearance Adding to a bumper
brings it lower to the ground. I guess unless your bumper is only above the factory bumper. Not sure the purpose of that bumper?

I have not seen a full bumper that installs over the factory bumper. All I have seen replace the front bumper. Most leave only the small plastic section below the headlights (which requires cutting the stock bumper), but the Fab Four Vengence bumper replaces the entire bumper. All of them are intended to increase approach angle. If you watch installation videos it will make sense.
