    Anyone here running a pistol AR with an arm brace, like the Ruger 556 pistol, or SA Saint? I'm thinking about a build or purchase, but don't really have any trigger time with a pistol/brace platform. I have a lot of time with full size ARs. I would just be curious to hear pros/cons of the shorter setup.

    I've ran the SB Tactical SB-PDW and SBA3. They are both fine. The rubber can get flimsy, so the split fix is a good option. I also have a Shockwave, but it sucks, IMO.

    5.56 loose a lot of velocity with shorter barrels. The AR platform works great, if you tune the gas tube length and buffer weights. 300 Blackout is far more effective terminal velocity with shorter barrels. This is from my experience with a 10.5” 5.56 and a 8.5” 300BLK; I’d take 300BLK any day in a shorty.
