    Hey everyone,

I've noticed that during hard acceleration (quite literally flooring it for getting on short freeway on ramps) that It feels like I have hard possible driveline vibes.

Also... The pull isn't smooth, and feels like there is 2 powerbands. There's a small hard pull around 3500 rpm that lasts untill 4500 or so, then a slight lurch, and a second, harder pull at 5400+. I'm assuming it's variable valve timing of sorts but figured I would ask as well to be safe. (Maybe it's a fuel pump issue? Or normal?)

During the entire acceleration, it also feels like there's some hard wobbles/vibes that you can feel/hear.

I figured I should grab the torque wrench and check out the drivline/axle ubolts, any ideas of what to look into?

Additionally, everything is stock (susp/driveline). This occurs with stock tires as well.

Couple of wisen-heimers, you are. I'll have you know I left a cup of coffee on the dashboard the other day, hit the fun pedal, and soaked my front seat. That's just raw power, that's what that is.

So much torque, the chassis twisted coming off the line.

As per the original question, OP, yes, as you get into the higher rpms you will notice a quicker response and faster acceleration, although I'd have to see what you mean by "multiple power bands". If you slam it down, it will kind of seem like a "lurch" from standstill. Regarding the vibrations....yeah, i got nothin

    Re: 2 Powerbands.
Normal, it's where the valve timing kicks in, and the intake runner length changes.
Takes a little getting used to but you won't notice it after a while once you "adapt".

Re: Vibes, hard wobbles/vibes, hard possible vibes...

Good little video and phone app here to be able to do some quick measurements on your driveline angles for possible vibes...

    https://americanpowertrain.com/ufaqs/how-do-i-calculate-the-driveline-angle/

    Are the vibes felt through
    the floor/seat/shifter?
    Stearing wheel/dash/door handles?

Are the roads completely dry and free of sand / gravel when this happens? (The traction control will pulse a wheel cylinder(s) if it detects something amiss)

Is it worse when the truck first starts the hard acceleration or does it get worse as you are almost up to speed and are about to let off the gas?

Are the vibes still there when you accelerate the same way in 4 Hi ?
