2:30 am. Will I go in to work today or not?

Any other time it would be an absolute yes.

These days I can pick and choose.

I did more hours than expected the last two weeks because I do want to play fair.

I still have 5 more years until I can retire with full benefits.

32 years down with 5 to go. Why did I start so young?

I have worked there more years in my life than before I worked.

    Let that sink in.

    Morning all

I'm in the same boat. 32 years in 5 to go.

I might extend that to 7. I get more SS money at 67.

If I can make it through the next few months.

Same thing here, I have to go in the DROP program next year or I lose the opportunity to go in period, which means I lose the $$ from the program, BUT, it starts a timer on me, I have to retire by 67... The boss said, what do you plan to do "work till your 75". At this point in my life I WANT THINGS that not working doesn't let me do, I told him I'd probably die with my head on the keyboard anyway, that's just the morbidity since my heart attacks...

    Anyways, good morning all,

Have a great day out and about!!

afternoon:hattip:worked last nite. new shift starts Monday.suppose to work Fri. nite but talked em into letting us work Fri. day shift since thats what we go to Monday. so 3 days next week then on vacation for 4weeks:dancingbacon:new shift is 6weeks days and 3weeks nites. much easier than switching every two weeks.

I retired 25 years ago after spending 20 years in the Navy. That sometimes boggles my mind. But still working so say I am retarded, not retired. As of June I could retire from where I now work once again but figure will do ~5 more years. Or so.

On second grouse hunting trip of the month, went home for 5 days and took the dogs sister to her forever home. Pick up his son on the 31st.

Got back to the cabin Sunday the snow moved in on Saturday.

Seen one grouse on Monday and managed to shoot a spruce between him and me. Did see a moose though a rare bull.

And a lot of foxes. They don't see many people here and aren't very afraid of humans.

Last night 4 more inches of snow. Did shoot 2 birds yesterday. My friend is using his grandfathers Browning A5

Low in the teens at night upper 20's low 30's highs during the day. With snow same rinse and repeat for the next week, leave a week from today. Managed to take a header on the ice taking the dog out last night. Still hurt at my age don't think I bounce off the ground like I used to. Only seen one bird today and no shot.

But the worst day hunting is better than the best day at work. And the dog is happy as hell :)

Watched a video about a guy in Canada that built a cabin by hand, one room and a loft. He doesn't really talk in the video, just cooks and builds and fishes.

But he had the happiest golden retriever you have ever seen.
