They don't all seem to be as bad as Clemson lately. Changing the names of buildings on campus, wearing silly phrases on football jerseys rather than names, the coach giving press conferences saying "I support Black lives Matter". My son is a junior at UGA and, if anything, is more conservative than when he went there. Of course, they all have liberal professors a push a liberal agenda, but at UGA, it does not seem to be so over the top.

Matter of time. No stand on anything. Whichever way the wind blows they will react to keep their jobs and allow whatever they need to.

There is a reason the kids college fund is in a trust with specific rules as to dispersement if I'm not around. Liberty is my top choice, but there are a few others

Sadly a lot of jobs still put a lot of weight on college degrees. Somehow I would still be more eligible for management than someone who has twice as much experience. All because of a degree that means nothing in my field. Apparently they've never been told that they're idiots for that ideology from someone with a degree before. They had a real dumbfounded look on their face. I feel bad that I got a degree instead of doing the trade route.

I have a MS in science field and rarely use any of it. Totally worthless as I manage people 90% of my time.

My wife has a Bachelors in Supply Chain and Information Systems and had job offers before she graduated. She worked for the same company for over 10 years and used her degree and knowledge from college. There are still reasons to get a degree for some jobs.

College didn’t help me learn how to tolerate stupid people, so I really learned nothing.

My wife has her bachelors degree and is currently a stay at home mom. I have a 2 year degree that is pretty much useless but I have a good specialized tradesman job. Keep telling my wife she should be paying the bills with her education but at the same time the house would burn to the ground if I was a stay at home dad.

Tolerating stupid people is an art. You gotta take the good with the bad sometimes.

I agree there are people who actually use the degrees and jobs that value the right ones, but my main complaint is that just having a degree puts above people who are more qualified without a degree. I don't like that part of the gig.
I wish I still did. Again, I'm not saying its pointless, just that it seems to be all that some employers care about. And I don't agree with that.

Nothing can prepare you for the level of stupidity the general public can throw at you.

I like 90% machines, 10% people. Machines I can fix. People, not so much. Try to fight the battles I can maybe win. :)

Be She’s in some kinda high demand with JIT & COVID-19 & such. Nice to be able to decide your own raise.

Not everyone needs a college degree to get a good paying job. Experience in a field, and loyalty to a company, can earn you good money in the long run. To me, a college degree is just another tool in the toolbox when it comes to a career. My father-in-law was plant manager at a big welding and fabricating shop here, and he didn't do a single day of college. But he sure could run a plant, fix every machine in it, balance the books, and efficiently utilize his workers. They don't teach that shit in college.

sadly, leadership can’t really be taught. It’s my belief it’s a natural trait for some.
