I don't understand why so few people are willing to ship small items like this. Especially since you'd likely make the buyer pay for it in the first place.

It’s not small though, it’s big and fragile by UPS standards. Shipping to the east coast would likely be $50-100

 

Depends how it is packed. Plus, if the buyer is willing to pay it, cost shouldn't be a factor.

 

That kills the deal, would you buy something used that you can get for less new? For someone that is local this is a good deal, someone that is going to pay retail rates to ship? less so.

 

Then don't buy it. Pretty simple. Local is always an option, but I've seen many of these threads with people stating they'd do it if it could be shipped. Seems to me like you kill many more potential deals that way. It more seems to me that people just aren't that experienced with shipping.

 

I won't pretend to know your situation but for me it's not worth my time to find a box, weigh and then get a quote for shipping, then actually box it up and send it out. Especially since I live in San Diego and it's quite easy to find a local buyer. OP is in LA so it will be even easier to find a local buyer.

 

Most of the time you can do that all from the app or online. USPS has flat rate shipping boxes and I believe UPS is going the same way. Then there's always the option of "$300 local or $350 shipped" and that saves you all that quoting. I don't doubt your local markets, but again, I see many threads with people saying they wish someone would ship, or, where they constantly have to "bump" the thread and it is "local pickup only."

 

So is it sold? Lol
