Went out yesterday, wanted to hit Georgiana but the launch was too packed I couldn’t park. So we popped over to steamboat where it was equally as busy but more parking.
Didn’t catch a single damn fish. Lost a ton of plastics in the rocks. Rough day.

i went. i DIDNT get skunked. :) no giants.

i didnt take pics because a buddy gave me the spot as a hot tip..dont want to mistakenly post up some landmark in a pic.

i did almost fall out of my kayak. i was standing and taking a...well, lets just say i was standing (i was taking a piss). the tide was pulling me out, and i turned just when i was about to clothesline myself on a tree branch..i did a crouching tiger, hidden dragon move and stayed on board. i did look around to see if anyone saw me..it would have required eye bleach, as my pants were kinda down..hhahhah

as a new fisherperson, i did however catch my first DROP-SHOT fish!!!

i found it fun. i can see how it can get mundane.

i have TWO bass i have to get..no THREE!

    Jig Bass
    Punch Bass
    and a Frog Bass.

i really want to get proficeint at all the techniques. i grew up bass fishing, but all i ever did was drag a sassy-shad or texas rigged worm.

what i dont love is crankbait fishing. it just doesnt click with me.

i have to keep busy or im bored out of my mind. Cranks, jerkbait and plastics are all good for me. Fairly lethal with the jerkbaits but Ned always kills it. Thats why im so shocked yesterday was a bust.

I'm the same way with cranks. Its the one lure I still have a major love/hate relationship with. Some days I can get a couple on a crank, and other days its dead. What makes me even more mad is I will purposely switch to a crank and hit a section of a body of water... with no fish. Ill hit the same section with a plastic worm and Ill get 5+. Definitely sours my wants to use a crank. lol

i am gonna hit Frank's Tract tomorrow in a bass boat with a friend. it seemed like the much better option when i weighed it against, "go to work".

more practice in casting accurately.. heres to hoping Mr Big latches on to my lure offerings!
