Got my 2016 done. Took it to the dealer and they did it in about 20 minutes. Seems they was too much paint on the OE sensor and it was causing problems.

This didn't show up for my VIN, but I'm still worried my truck will have an issue with the CPS down the road.

Is it possible for this to be an issue for a 2019? I just got my 2019 in December and twice now it has stalled out on the interstate with the check engine light coming on....dealership says its ethanol in the fuel but it has happened twice more than a month apart from each other. I pull over to the side, shut it down and restart it and everything seems fine. Suggestions please...

Not just Tacoma's but I just received the same recall notice for my girlfriend's 2018 Highlander.

Maybe they should have put the extra anti-corrosion coating on the frames....

2019 just happened to me on vacation. filled the tank for the trip home. truck hesitated out of the parking lot. Then ran fine for an hour. made another pit stop. vehicle would not accelerate. had to back down the on ramp. luckily made it into a parking lot. I was three and half hours from home. My Tacoma now sits at the dealership three and a half hours away. talked with Toyota said they are still working on a remedy. don't know when I will get my truck back. fortunately it did not shut off when I was cruising down the interstate.

I have a 2019 Tacoma Limited. I just got back from a road trip. Had my truck stall twice. Both times I was at a stop sign turning left. In the middle of the intersection acted like it flooded out then picked back up. Just got back from the dealer. They said the computer showed there was nothing wrong. Ask me if I was a two footed driver. Bottom line they did nothing to fix the problem. Love my truck. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and how was it fixed.

Did the engine completely shut off and need restarting? That’s a stall. What you had sounds like major hesitation when turning and I deal with it constantly. No fix I’ve come across yet unless it’s a recalled fuel pump causing it. I have to put the pedal almost to the floor to accelerate properly out of a turn with any decent pace and it is not a smooth operation...

Thanks for the response. My truck is doing the same as yours. The engine does not shut off. It hesitates moving you forward in your seat and when it catches up it sets you back in your seat. I have an appointment with the dealership where I bought the truck which is in another town. I’ll let you know what they say.

Yep that sounds just like mine. Hopefully they can resolve it for you. I love the truck, But it is super herky-jerky to drive. Have to get my recalled fuel pump replaced before I investigate any further. Not sure if your 2019 is under the same recall But the dealer should inform you. best of luck!

Took my truck to the dealership today. This is what they did “There is T-SB-0092-20 that has updated calibrations for this concern. Reflashed the engine and transmission ECU’s per T-SB-0092-20.” Hope it works.

Right on. Just read about these TSBs. You are probably one of the first few to get it. Let us know how it improves the driving. The vehicle will likely run a little odd for a few dozen miles while the ECU readjusts. Hopefully 2018 and down Tacoma’s get a similar TSB soon. Best of luck!

Had the recall done yesterday. Replaced the fuel tank module. It stills runs. No noticeable difference but I have quiet a few performance upgrades so hard to really say if there is a performance difference.
