taco 2019 eibach rear shocks install info...before i recieved my shocks looked online to see torque specs.
found website on how to install and then this got my attention...there torque specs way off! eibach says tighten shocks to factory specs...which is 15 ft lbs top nut and 43 ft lbs bottom nut.
look @ pic.....47 ft lbs top nut and 61 ft lbs bottom nut...wow....
i would think you could strip or brake off top nut @47 ft lbs...do your homework.....

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You aren't going to strip that nut at 47 ft/lbs.

from 15 ft lbs to 47 ft lbs...? 3 times more than spec... regardless that's not what the factory specs say... trying to say there's a lot of misinformation online...

    All the things!
There's torque specs that protect the hardware from breaking and there are torque specs that protect the mechanism from functioning properly. 47 ft*lbs is nowhere near the strength limit for a 17mm nut and bolt.
