Absolutely. A good idea in your neck of the woods, it's not a huge problem area but it definitely happens there. 619-787-798 seven

Do you like the depos? Mine are awful; probably the worst headlights i've ever had in a car - and i used to drive a 72 Scout and a 81 Fiat 126. On the tacoma, the depo lights have almost no adjustability to bring the bulb hot-spot up from about 15 feet in front of the truck. At night it's like driving with my eyes half-closed. it helped a little switching from LEDs back to normal bulbs - Racing Vision H4 - but still i have no more room to adjust anything higher.

I had a pair of Depos, or Depo rip-offs, and they were horrible. Barely functioned as lights with the pattern scattered all over hell. I will never scrimp on lighting again but that's what you get for a $100 pair of headlights I guess.

Why not take the second one and double it? Seems like the math is just as simple?

I installed my BD S8 10" light onto my UptopOverland Alpha rack yesterday. Little tricky to get aligned to where I feel there will be sufficient light output due to the front fairing design but look good. Once they are wired up I will be able to make the needed adjustments. I still need to wire in my Bussman fuse/relay box.

Got some new shoes the other day. Milestar Patagonia M/T 265/70R17. So far I love them. I know it's coming since they're new, but right now they're still very quiet. I didn't notice a huge MPG dip either from my previous set of tires (Cooper Discoverer A/T3 265/65R17). The Coopers were on the truck when I bought it and I had the A/T3's on my old Land Cruiser too, prior to getting a set of Cooper ST Maxx's that I really loved. I almost went with the Maxx's on the Tacoma but it was hard to pass up the price point of the Patagonia's and they got really good reviews.

I got the TRD Pro headlights. They're not black but a smoked chrome that looks nice. I upgraded the wiring harness and use Osram Superbright bulbs so it puts out nice light. The Pro's are expensive but I just personally don't think you should go the cheap route for lighting. YMMV.

Changed the oil in the diffs along with ujoints and carrier bearing. Here's what I found in the rear diff. Looks like part of a bearing peeled away. Y'all's thoughts?

Also, is there any discounts on gears/rebuild kit for TW members anywhere?

Made up some spacers for the carrier bearing on my 2007 Prerunner. Had a significant vibration problem from the drive shaft. New u-joints and a new carrier bearing took care of 95% of the problem. I'm hoping these spacers take care of the rest.

I got a 1" wide by 1/8" thick piece of aluminum stock from Home Depot. Marked off 2" intervals and drilled a 3/8" hole in each. Scored each section with the Dremel, snapped them off and filed off the rough spots.

I first tried using a single spacer on each side of the carrier bearing dropping it down 1/8". It reduced my vibration by another 2-3%. I then tried stacking 2 spacers on each side dropping the carrier bearing a total of 1/4". That got rid of about 98% of my problem. I may just have to live with the remaining 2%. I could probably use a 3rd spacer but I'd have to buy longer bolts!

I think painting the calipers can be tasteful if done right. Bright red when nothing else on the car is red is very “ricer”. I plan on getting Kings so I painted my calipers to kind of match them eventually. 985E9C42-0502-4B00-A71C-8828FE0B2A55.jpg00BC9294-42F5-4023-92CD-480A521AC709.jpg These are reman 4Runner calipers which have larger pistons than the Tacoma ones on 4Runner sized rotors (~1” more diameter and I think a little thicker as well). I think they look good and aren’t obnoxiously colored. TRD sticker makes them seem more “professionally” done and make them look like they belong. I would def want the wilwood logo to show though :D

Looks good... and until the kings, it matches the bilstein sticker.
