If the chip is within 3-4" of the edge of the glass, it will likely spread. Some shops can drill a tiny pinhole in the top laminate layer and stop the crack. Since you have a '17 without TSS, expect to pay normal pricing for windshield replacement ($150-400 depending on where you go, OEM or aftermarket, etc.)

For small chips I've used this with good results: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ontario-bs-thread.249665/page-1282#post-22539389

@Norilsk call these guys for a quote: https://www.afghanautoglass.com/ They like Toyota trucks, but don't tell them you're Russian...

That's essentially the fix they did. Which worked. Until it cracked more. The chip itself is probably 6" from the edge. Maybe more

Cool didn't know you added one. That behaves like the Torsen LSDs in Audis, though likewise it doesn't work if a wheel is in the air. Did you also do the yellow wire mod (or gray wire mod) to get Trac working in 4Lo?

So I have been to Vmuts a couple of times not and its a pretty big place. I found the wheeling challenging in some spots but for the most part its fun recreational wheeling with good scenery and lots of pinstripeing .. lol. but that is ok.

Hear is what I'm thinking and I'd like input if you can add something to this idea..

    The idea: 24hours of vmuts
this is exactly what it sounds like. We wheel vmuts for 24 hours

    The time:
We start at 6pm on a Friday
    Wheel till 6am until Saturday
Keep wheeling until 6pm on Saturday
    Then camp and sleep

    Sunday return home. very simple..

all stops will be at some spot we find suitable to cook eat refuel and plan where to go next.

its just an idea dose anyone have any thoughts as to why this might be a bad or good idea please let me know.....

I’m wondering if spring would be best? Snow mobile trails would be closed, may be muddy but hopefully not too bad. Could explore more trails that way too. Plus it would be easier to camp. Would be a good shakedown run for arctic circle trip as well.

I was just up there the past week. Spent Friday night and Saturday night camping and wheeled all Friday and Saturday.
Muddy in some sections, lots of hunters rolling around and cold.. I don't know when hunting season is over and when snowmobile begins but I wonder if there is a time in between there somewhere. If it cant happen spring would be a good Idea... I did want to practice more cold weather camping too...
