Puck is supposed to reopen next spring, but with COVID I’m unsure when it will actually reopen...

 

In Doylestown, it seems houses that should not be torn town get torn with fairly alarming regularity, and generally get replaced with McMansions is questionable quality...

This is the first house I’ve seen in Doylestown that should be torn down, but has not been yet!

 

I want one of these so bad; 1987-1990 Dodge Caravan or Plymouth Voyager with a 5-speed stick! The beige/gold Voyager is a non-turbo; The two Caravans are turbo...

I would prefer a 1989-1990 Turbo model (Only made those two years), but if a decently non-turbo model with A/C becomes available I’d take it; A/C is a requirement!

 

I need to go somewhere and get one too, my Dr. suggested it.

This cardinal flew into the front door at my work as I was walking in this morning! He was out of it for a good twenty minutes and then he just flew away like nothing happened...

 

One of the Vice Presidents brought one of his puppies in!

 

Unfortunately he has a terminal brain issue and won’t live beyond two years old...

 

His name Jax and he’s 13 weeks old as of these photos...

 

So apparently, this neurological issue he has is exclusive to Jack Russell Terriers, but uncommon enough that another coworker who has a Jack Russell at home has never heard of it!

 

Oh, and Jack Russell is also the name of Great White’s lead singer!

 

So I did some research; The cardinal that kamikazed my door is a Northern Cardinal, the most well-known kind in my area...

I also founded out that it is illegal to possess one of these birds due to the Migratory Bird Act of 1918; This more specifically applies to poaching, killing, or otherwise harming, and I think that what I did was tantamount to a rescue operation

It was scary seeing this happen! I was about to swipe my key card when I saw a flash of red and heard a loud thunk, followed by the bird on its back convulsing...

The bird lay on its back for several minutes breathing heavily, and I turned it right side up; Not long before it flew away, there was a period where the bird started nodding off and I thought it was going to die. The receptionist got it a bowl of water, which it showed no interest in, and then it flew off!

 

Exactly.

 

Another McMansion going up in Doylestown Borough, on Ashland Street; A lot of the time, the houses that get torn down shouldn’t be torn down, and some are even of historical significance

Not the case this time in my opinion; The house that got torn down was a rather ugly 3-bedroom built in 1922 (according to Zillow), that’s just under 1,800 square feet (also from Zillow). The image below is from Google maps...




The house sold in June 2020 for over $660K after being rented for many years, and was almost immediately torn down; This is what’s going up in its place...

 

This house was originally built in 1885, and I have pictures of it before they tore it apart somewhere in this thread; It came in at just under 1,700 square feet and like the house on Ashland was rented for many years. This property is located one street up on Oakland Avenue, and only front facade (and some of the sides) is being saved...




This is what the house is going to look like when it’s finished; Since there is an illustration online, I’m guessing the house is being sold as a spec home...

My buddy uses those for his Jeep when we go hunting and camping. Holds up awesome to the bumps and dips on the mountains. Also your damn door flag is backwards lol

 

Also I need to pick on up for my wife’s 4runner after seeing the abuse it takes I’m sold on it. My buddy throws a loaded yeti 65 cooler and his camp kitchen stuff on it. Also thrown about 300lbs in firewood on the hitch hauler.
