Can the dealer change it so the engine will stay running when opening the door after remote start.

Its unfortunate but no, the factory remote start will always shut off the car when the doors get unlocked.

Sucks they can't get this feature right, my Camaro (2011) and Tahoe (2019) both stay on when opening the doors and you can't drive away unless it senses the proximity key.

hmmm. I only found out others leave it running when my coworker walked up to his explorer and got in without it killing the engine. He said all Fords he's own stay running when the door is opened.

I have a 2019 Tacoma and it stays running. But I have the best setup! The proven old fashion key. My 2.7 sr5 has an H key. No push button. So it stays running.

it bothered me a bit until I realized how little I'd actually use remote start, maybe 3 times last winter. I always go out, jump in and forget I have it.

It doesn't really bother me. But it is annoying. I use my every day. I wish the timer was longer. I end up restarting like 2 or 3 times a day
