209 TACOS - B/S and shenanigans

Not for a denso.

I had a samauri in high school that had some major motor issues and would eat spark plugs. Not cleanly like that though.

 

Supposedly they put brand new spark plugs in my son's 1GRFE that was replaced.

He had NGK on the passenger side and Denso on the driver side. They all looked like this, no sign of any antiseize, the plugs were in WAY tighter than 15 lbs torque (assuming corrosion was holding tight) no dielectric grease in the coil on plugs, and it was throwing P0305 misfire on cylider 5. With a Check Engine and ATRAC off light.

Replaced all 6 with Denso Iradium. Cleared code... now no lights. Would ATRAC off be some kind of limp mode, along with Check Engine?

 

That would do it. Maybe replace the wires too.

Not sure how all the smog stuff works but I’m guessing a misfire and limp mode would shut it all down.

 

Or do the plugs have a coil on each?

I have never worked on that motor.

 

It's coil on plug on all 6 cyliders. No plug wires to replace.

 

I replaced the plugs with denso Iradium (with antisieze torqued to proper spec) and used dielectric grease in all of the boots the spark plug head goes in, as well as the electrical connetor from harness to the coil on plug.

Just got done with my civic duty for a year. Jury summons but did not get chosen to sit.

I like to imagine the amount of wealth being lost due to all the people there not working.

I also understand that being tried by a jury of peers is also a great sign of how fair our justice system is.

Oh well, I get summoned like clockwork so I’ll be back.

New project is up and running...

Sales Office is complete
Models are nearing completion

Began production on 24 houses (12 were formed this week, 12 to be formed next week)

Will get 12 more house in to production next week.

Community pool and pool house began production this week as well.

We are so far ahead of schedule, all this started and we don't even have gas, electrical, sewer, streets, curbs, or sidewalks yet... but all that is getting done as well.

 

Do you guys have projects in Tracy? My boss is in escrow for a new housing development there and the house should be done by Jan/Feb.

 

No, were not in Tracy. We've looked but nothing has come up that was the right deal. My company doesn't want to get in on Tracy Hills. Too much competition between builders... and the big builders are building way too many houses unsold and taking price cuts.

 

Yeah, I can't remember what development she is going to but when I looked its like a mini utopia with a water park, school, shops, etc all within the neighborhood.
