I used add a fuse on my drivers side headlight. Ideally I wanted to tap off the fog light fuse. But I tried and it didn't work.

I'd like to know if anyone successfully tapped off the foglights. I want my grille lights to turn on with the fogs

That thing looks good for a Utility Package. Get a Black Headlight Mod and it'd finish it off nicely.

    hello all SR owners!

so i am looking into getting a Tacoma, and am almost sure that I want an SR...but I have some questions...

    things i am sure of:
    it needs to be 4x4; I want the access cab 6 foot bed; I DON'T need to it to be able to heat my home, talk to me while I drive, or send text messages;
I will be using it as my everyday driver; will be hauling band equipment in it; will be using it to get into the wilderness for camping and mountain biking trips <--- gravel and fire roads; and winter/snow conditions; will spend most of it's time in Michigan, Ohio, New England, Canada (post-COVID); will also eventually be pulling a small or possibly mid sized tear drop trailer; I don't plan on doing heavy duty off roading...no rock crawling in Moab or Arizona; I will possibly modify it to make it better at what I do want to do, but not major mods; I do plan on upgrading the wheels and tires....I would like it to be the "last truck I buy"

I feel like the 6 cyl 4x4 engine set up is all I need, but could I get away with 4 cyl?
what is the difference between the SR and SR5?
would it be a good starter to then modify if I do want to beef it up more?
should I look more at a TRD off road? <-- I think that is too much for what I need....
I assume it comes with the 2" hitch receiver

our retirement plans are to hit the road in a few years with a trailer and live the "trailer life" for a while, and am really thinking that this Tacoma will be the central cog in that machine

any other suggestions or direction would be awesome

I’ll be 60 in a couple months. I recently bought a ‘15 SR5 6 cyl 4x4. I’m hoping it will last me to the end. :) If you want to tox, make sure you get one with the factory towing package.

can't afford it, and I think it will be too big for what I want to drive around as a daily driver....I did look into them as I know quite a few guys who have them

They have a better history of reliability than the taco.
    Definitely get the 6 cylinder.
Everything else I'm happy with the SR.
I'll be adding a locker and gears soon.

Snow tires back on. Much better on this stuff than the MT762’s.
