Does anyone else get an occasional clunk noise from the front after installing 5100s to level out their Tacoma's? It's not really loud and doesn't happen on every bump. New to the site and first Tacoma I've owned.

Yup, it's been known to happen and has driven people crazy.

Should I be concerned or just turn up the radio?

Only be concerned if the noise...
    1. Becomes more frequent
    2. Gets louder
    3. Lasts longer

    Could be hitting your coil.
    Could be hitting your UCA.
Could be hitting speed bumps too fast, they’re 5100s not coil overs.

I had the factory coils on mine and had this clunk. It's a hard one to track down. I believe mine were related to the castle nuts not being tightened all the way before the pin was put in them. Typically only happens on the passenger side. As mentioned above on places that make that noise by @T4RFTMFW but it happens at a relatively dow speed. Like 5 to 10 mph. Not enough to drop that far to hit the uca etc...

Good to knowing if mine ever develops the clunk, right now mine is clunk free!!!!

running stock coils and haven't taken it over and speed bumps. Torqued everything to factory spec and even double checked it after the alignment was done. Just wasn't sure if the suspension was settling or if I did something wrong.

Sway bar brackets in front are tight?
And the sway bar links are ok?

I did install them on monday and the method without using a spring compressor. I marked the spring mount and insulator pad so that it all when back in as it came out. looking at it the driver side insulator pad looks like it shifted about 1/8" of an inch to the left. that wouldn't cause it would it?

    Top hat parts all there?
Coils are timed so the bottoms face the rear?
Did you change them out on or off the truck?

    Yes
Check sway bar this was my problem. Idk maybe I’m not remembering right but when I did my suspension on 2nd gen I had to disconnect sway bar and was experiencing a clunk like sound. Tightened it up and it went away.

It could be the the spring is pushing through to the top hat every so often and would make a clunk, so yes it could be.
