16's clear just fine on my 19 TRD. Stock suspension and 265/70/R16 Nitto Ridge Grapplers.

FYI any 2nd gen guys will need extended lugs for MR150. Waiting on those to come in so I can mount these up. 305/7017 with MR150

Ended up getting the 17 for fitment. Highly recommend. Plenty of room and more tire options. Was told by motegi 16 was a no go. Plus they were only 629 delivered by 4wheelparts and sold the old wheels for 550 so essentially free lol

Damn seems like a lot of inconsistency from Motegi’s customer service department Ha.

But appreciate the insight. I might just do the same. Clean rig! What tires/lift you running?

Still contemplating which wheels to get. Really want to pull the trigger on the MR149 16x8 for my stock suspension/stock tires. I messaged Motegi and they say that they will work, but want to see if anyone has any insight??

    I mean there’s a pic of a taco with 16’s a couple posts up...

I really want a set of the 150’s in bronze, just can’t decide between 16’s and 17’s.

Yeah those are 150’s though and I’m looking to grab the 149’s. OP’s original concern was around brake caliper clearance.

I can confirm that MR150 in a 16 clears the calipers just fine. I've been running them all summer with no issues. Hopefully, that helps anyone wondering.

Yup thanks for the insight. The 150's look badass on your rig! I decided to just pull the trigger and get the 149's in 16 since they have almost identical specs to the 150. Will update once I give them a go.

    Touché!

Curious, do the factory lugs work on these?
I'll want to get black lugs, this is my first time buying any.

I have MR150’s on my 2003 and I could not use the factory lugs.

Factory lugs nuts are flat. You need a conical lug nut.
