Hit a deer last night. No check lights came up, no fluid leaks I can see, no airbags deployed. Drove it to the bodyshop and seemed to still track straight. Grill is pushed back over the hood, quarter panel tweaked most likely. Headlights work but I'm sure tabs are broken. Comprehensive coverage so my deductible is the only expense. I'll update when I get an estimate.

In a Rav4 for a rental. Don't hate it but it's not my baby.

You're lucky the headlight tabs didn't break because they are expensive as hell. Same with the fender flares, they look good.

For my replacement bumper cover, a few new clips, and one fog light bezel, I paid $1250.

Get a full metal off road bumper if you want your truck to be a truck. Rear bumper also has to be replaced b/c it's no better.

Or just pop that plastic crap back into shape + zip tie and pocket the money. All of that material upfront is the same doughy plastic you see on dirt bike fenders which a small child can easily bend by hand.

 

there are some frail metal brackets that support the ends. When I did my CBI front bumper install I was surprised to see just how soft and fragile the entire front end is. I'm sure it was done to help with pedestrian survivability.

Everytime I see a gen3 with stock front end I think how easy it would be to completely mess up the entire front end (grill /bumper ) with just a bit of caffeine in your blood and your kicking foot lol... even barefoot you would cause massive visual damage without even a scratch on your foot lol.
