5 sets left. This second batch has sold kinda slow. So I think these are the last batch I’ll make.

Hey bro did u use the nutserts the seller provided? What’s the trick to install these? Run a nut on the bolt then tighten the nut to pull it in? Can’t remember. Lol. Thanks!

I did use the nutserts. Just poke them into the hole you drilled and as you tighten the bolt it will cause the rubber to swell and they will stay in place

Got around to installing mine today drilling some holes and using the provided hardware. Mine are mounted with the KC cyclones under hood lighting kit. I'll have to to add some pics later when it's dark out.

    Thanks again @tamer

Just now getting around to getting these installed and the pic uploaded. Going to have to say I got super uncomfortable drilling the holes but took my time and added at plastic tube to stop the bit from going too far. It turned out perfect. Got it all hooked up to my busman box and ran it through a grounded switch so the lights come on with the hood is opened. Thanks again!

How those the printing material will hold under extreme heat from the engine/weather?

To be honest, I haven't had these on for a long amount of time (maybe a month at most) but two long road trips and I didn't see any signs of anything that would be concerning. They look exactly the same as when I installed them (no drooping/cracking/etc.). Guessing the winter will give me a chance to see how extreme changes in temp may impact materials.

Maybe someone else here who has had them for longer could speak to their experience?

I picked a material that’s very heat and temperature resistant. It will be fine. Mine have been under the hood for months with zero change to shape. And we've had some insane heatwaves in california recently.

Thanks for sharing pics! Drilling the hood is very sketch the first time, many people do it to install hood struts, you can get a drill stop for your bit as well to protect against that. Unfortunately that's the only way for 3rd gens.

Forgot to post the lights at night pic in this thread. The angle of the mount is perfect. Thanks again IMG_20200924_200302.jpg

The last set has been sold. If another wave of people want these I can make more, but will probably need 10 or so people who want to prepay up front.

Don’t forget to post pics if you bought a set and got them mounted up!

How well do these hold up to sunlight or heat if they were mounted to the side of a roof rack?
