Curious about output as well. I also cannot find anything mentioning warranty. Anybody have any idea if there is a 2 year like the NOVA style?

Am I the only one who finds it interesting that nobody wants to talk about output / performance? I'm thinking that we have another typical good looking - but that's about it - aftermarket headlight. At least they're stupid expensive.

    Those look sick!
I've been looking into them. Those headlights don't have the turn signal built in to the DRL portion of them, correct?

Okay so I finally had the time to throw these on. I went in knowing these were going to underperform compared to my stock housing lights but damn these things definitely underperformed.

They look really nice and I definitely enjoy the little light show they give when turning on and locking your car.

The light output is really scattered and at times it’s difficult to make out what’s in front of you. because of the headlight design it has like two blind spots that are pretty big.

They are not that bad and get the job done but there is definitely room for improvement.

The high beams are the worst. There is literally almost no difference when you turn them on/off.

I’m going to see if there’s a way to angle the headlights or even change the bulbs to my brighter leds that I had in my stocks.

The only upside is now I have time to bake my OEMs and paint black.

Are the high beams not even lighting up the driveway on the opposite side of the street? Have they been adjusted?

That is pretty awful to put it mildly. The LEDs are fully integrated into the headlight assembly, they are not replaceable. Your H11 LEDs from your OEM headlights work work in those, since there is no changeable bulb.

That is one hell of an understatement. Maybe people can take the money they save and invest in a good flashlight just in case they have to drive at night?

Wow, that's beyond awful. Unfortunately, that's about average for aftermarket headlights. As I predicted, they look cool, but perform terribly. At least you were man enough to admit it and share pics proving just how bad they are. Thank you for that! Maybe it's time to return them for a full refund?

I just installed a tacomabeast set today. They didn't look that bad so I would say your results will vary with these lights.

They are usuable but nowhere near what I was hoping for like my wives ram with oem leds.

Get I will get a set of dd s3 or baja design fogs to help them out

If you follow the 3rd Gen headlight thread you’d have seen the OEM LED headlights are the highest performing headlight option available.

To prevent another less than ideal purchase, follow the fog light thread. The Diode Dynamic SS3s are the highest performing fog lights available. See the review here, the end of the post has intensity comparisons to Baja: Diode Dynamics SS3

Unfortunately good fogs are not a repair for poor headlights. Headlights project long distance for high speed, fogs are a short range light for low speed.

I figured these would underperform. The light show when unlocking your truck is the eye catcher lol. I’m all about performance. If I had to choose I’d just spend the money on the oem led 2020 lights.

Did you figure out if there is a way to adjust the angle on your beams? I have a 2017 Pro that I damaged my passenger headlight and the one headlight is way more expensive than the set of these Alpha Rex's, if I buy a true replacement from the dealership.
I live in the city and I could drive with Drls and my Rigid fogs in the night without issues with all the city lights. Plus I have 2 light bars mounted between the front and roof so not worried about trail or mountain pass conditions. Maybe the forefront extra light that these seem to cast might be good extra short distance light since the light bars cast so freaking far! Lol

Is there a 2nd Gen OEM LED headlight option? I haven't been able to find anything comparable if there is.

There is no 2nd Gen OEM LED option. To correctly run LEDs on a 2nd Gen you’d need to do a custom retrofit to a quality LED projector. There was rumor that Morimoto would release their LED headlights for 2nd Gen, which have an appropriate beam pattern but I haven’t seen anything concrete yet. Otherwise 2nd Gen headlight info is here:

Thanks ... saw the link but just too lazy to figure out what's needed for my 2013 to tackle the job.

That's disappointing, such a great light but poor outputs.... :(

Did you aim the headlights yet to see if you can get better light projection?

    hey
to be clear, the review @JayCue gave a month ago was of the alpharex headlights, correct ? or did he review ones from alibaba? or are they the exact same. i’m still unsure what’s been learned about the new reflectors from alpharex. i realize guys are saying they have less emitters in the highs & lows compared to the oem, but why are so many guys high on the alpharex quad-projectors? is this company really making/selling both a superior projector and an inferior reflector simultaneously? honest questions here. fyi i’m running morimoto xb’s, but i like the look of the alpha black reflectors. curious if @MESO has any opinion regarding these. thx
