With the possibility of a 1/2-3/4 roof rack in the near future, have to think out my GMRS antenna setup @xtremewlr

It's made by Toyota, should be available new or used. Instead of casting a master that fits, they just rotate the booster with this bolt on adapter. I dunno why

I'm going with the 80 master, but for 01-04 models this bracket is the better option.

Are you sure you even need to fuck with the booster? I have tundra brakes upfront and FJ80 rear disc and use the stock 02 master and booster and it stops great. I can lock up my 37s (barely).

I don't have to fuck with it because I have a dual diaphragm booster already that the FZJ80 booster bolts right up to. I won't use a drum master on rear discs though, residual valves make it feel wrong. I don't even like Tacomas with tundra brakes that don't change to an appropriate master, feels like sponge cake.

I still don’t understand what you’re talking about (unless it’s that drastic of a difference with the dual booster) the tundra uses the exact same booster and master as the 01-04 tacos. Unless the tundra had VSC

it literally doesn’t work with a dual booster and master. It feels like crap. I think the tundra brakes on tacos feel like crap too but that’s just an issue of Toyota using the same parts to save money

I put a residual valve on and threw it out immediately as all it did was cause the brakes to drag, that's what I get for listening to the internet.

I still feel like mine work just fine with the weight on my truck, which isn't unsubstantial...but still not as much as some.

Granted if I do have to stop quick I usually downshift as well which helps

I’m in the same boat, not worth my time. I’d rather think about spending money I don’t have on other things I don’t need

I just hated drum brakes, hence the 80 axle! Now it's awesome with the strength upgrade. I recommend to evreyone price an entire 80FF rear axle vs a disc brake kit, in my case I saved $300 over the cost of a kit. I did run factory front brakes again with 37s when I had my 15s and honestly didn't notice much of a difference when I switched back to the tundras.

I'm sure people driving behind me appreciate it when I slow way down from downshifting and my brake lights don't come on lol
