FINALLY made the upgrade today to new wheels and tires. I'm a happy camper!

To say I am pumped would be an understatement!! After researching countless hours on this forum I finally pulled the trigger and purchased the bilstein 5100 with preloaded 887 coils as well as a dekar AAL. Getting all of this installed tomorrow at my friends shop! I’ll post pics after the install. Special thanks to Marie with headstrong! @HeadStrong Off-Road

 

Get the TRD grill and morimoto XD headlights and amber fogs. ALSO the sequential side mirror LEDs. I took all the chrome off

I’m going with some black overlays for the badges next and then in December pick up some of the ecoological textured black TPO rear bumper covers.

 

Lift installed!!! I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! Even better in person after looking at all of the pics here on Tacoma world

I went with the bilstein 5100 all around, 887 coils and a deaver AAL for the back, still has a slight rake in the back which is what I wanted
Also installed the driver side spacer to account for the lean.

 

How high is the lift? Did you have to do any body mods to fit the tires? I'm trying to figure out what I want to do with mine. A local shop quoted me $450 for a 3" front and 1" rear with shocks. Not sure the details though.

 

Roughly 2”! You should talk to Marie at headstrong.. she will hook you up with what you need. Did that shop quote you the cost of the lift and install all for $450? Sounds like a block lift. The lift cost me around $900 shipped and the shop installed for $400 alignment included. Worth it to me to do it right!

 

Yeah, it was $450 total so I'm thinking it's blocks too.

Hello there MGM folks. Sorta new still to TW, but I just found this thread. Having fun with my first taco. Always wanted one, and got one on Valentine’s Day, just shy of being able to get the 0% financing due to Covid. Oh well. I’m having fun making it as Smoked out as possible. Added some cold air intake, grabbing some cat back soon and the spacers come tomorrow. Functional and fun on this. Mostly work truck for mural business, but trips with to bump around as much as possible.

 

Have y’all debadged your MGMs? I’m thinking of either doing that or putting black overlays on the chrome badges.
