What’s the best way to get rid of the badges without scratching the clear coat?

I used a heat gun to loosen up the glue, fishing line and goo gone

 

Could I use a hair dryer?

 

For sure! For me heat gun is another word for wife’s hair dryer

 

Yup, don’t need it too hot, just to loosen the adhesive

 

Yes. Probably better than a heat gun. Regardless, be careful to not get the paint too hot. You can damage (blister) the paint.

It’s a pretty easy process. Took me about 30 minutes to do both doors and the V6 badge on the back

 

Watch me take these off and then my exhaust pipe fall off on the way to work Monday.

 

When I heated mine, I used floss and it gets between the badge and the 3m tape. Then ya scrape the tape stuff off with a plastic scraper and use either goo gone or the fine grit polish.
