Do you find this makes a good difference in the winter? With those bigger fender flares now ya need to poke out those tires some more.

Purchased it through Salinas Toyota. Will probably try to give them a call tomorrow and try to get this sorted out because I can’t find hardware/bracket kits anywhere online.

You shouldn't have to purchase it separately. Just a mix up in the packaging dept. I'm sure they will get it sorted out for you. Still the waiting sucks when you were ready to install it.

OK - TRD Pro Grill (Faux version) paid $220 for MCAutoParts.com and opted for the smoked Amber lights. Came with 4 but using only 3 and keeping one as spare. Modified the wiring harness to 3 and shrink tube it and then did some wire management so I could hook it up to a switch in the car so I can turn the lights on and off if I wanted too. Easy install. Had to do a little trimming of the red letters and black back pieces, but they went in fine. Nothing too out of the ordinary. The TSS was simple and went in great. No issues on test drive.

The wiring cable that came with the predator lights I took apart - soldered it and created a custom wiring harness that I could make join in the center and then go up into the top of the radiator channel (its covered by a plastic piece on top) and then out the side. The 'TOYOTA' letters are black plastic with red plastic on top of them. The bottom had a small piece where it looked like it was broken off the injection molding so I used an exacto knife to clean that up and a small bit of red gloss paint to cover the white part of the exposed plastic. A drop of superglue to glue them to the black piece and then the screws to adhere them to the grill - with a drop of superglue on each of the letters joining it to the grill. THOSE LETTERS WILL NOT BREAK OR FALL OFF.

Anyway - I got as far as doing the switch and made sure it would work with the backlight on it - and clicked on and off - now I have to finish wiring it up tomorrow.

Road test - no errors on TSS.

Kendall Toyota? Like (The "DEALER" Toyota) did your install? They installed a non factory SUPERCHARGER on your truck?
Sorry, I'm from California, and it's something we just don't see here nowadays, for me it's just a surprise to see a "DEALER" do something like this...lol
I would love to do this , but alas, (CARB)... I need to just move out of this f'n state! :annoyed:

I personally would. The speaker wire is squeezed up against the doors sheet metal. Over time, due to vibrations, the wire covers can wear out or get cut and expose the wires.

Also a better seal will improve speaker response.

Yes, Kendall Toyota of Bend. They aren’t my local dealership but they installed one a month ago so I knew they could do it. I made the drive out from Portland (3 hours) and spent the week there. I dropped off my truck on Tuesday morning around 11. It sat until about 11 on Wednesday before they started the install (I suspect this was the time they were waiting for the software back from Magnuson so my truck wasn't dead on the lift) and finished about 1:30pm on Thursday after doing a 7.2 mile test drive. I know all of those specifics because the app allows you to see the status on the hood being open/closed and you can also see the trip mileage. I lived in California most of my life and I agree the idea of a dealer HELPING you with mods is completely contrary to what you expect.
