Great truck to start with and get ready for the modding. Seems way cheaper than a real truck but $10-30 parts add up quick, especially when you get multiple RC’s.

You have to have a basher, crawling is fun, but letting a brushless truck fly and launch off something is so much fun.

Never had an RC before. Straight from crawling to insane power takes getting used to. Have to learn how to drive. Lol

Oh definitely. Went from a slow brushed truck to a 6s brushless HPI and almost broke it immediately.

Just picked up the Losi Rock Rey used but needs it’s pinion gear adjusted. Also got a E-Revo fixed that my boss gave me. The thing is stupid fast but fun.

Awesome. My favorite model too. I have a honcho from each generation and look forward to the next.

The crawlspace in wheatridge is pretty much crawler focused. Ikaika there is a national competitor and has lots of wins. Go check out the shop next time you have some free Friday night time. A group up there almost weekly. He also holds events around town and in the mountains. @thefatkid does some rc locally and i think @NYCO and @Rock Lobster have rigs too

Yeah, I need to find the motivation to get back into it. I have too many sitting on the shelf/bench doing nothing. Would be nice to finish the hard body scalers and get back into scale adventures.

More of a crawler. Not saying you can't up the voltage and gearing to make it a basher.

I had no idea you guys were all into it. Scale adventures would be pretty fun. I've seen the FB page of shop in Wheat Ridge. I wish I lived closer

And the Senton is down...shredded the tire on the body.

That's crazy! Did the one tire ballon more than all others at speed?

It was my fault. Flipped on its side and I was being lazy and trying to turn it over by rocking it. Guess it ballooned a bit too much and made contact with the body (which should be trimmed up anyways). Ordered some Amazon replacements, hopefully they can hold up till I can get a matching tire.

If you want it to be self-righting, you need an X-maxx.

    Not very well. :)

it’s got sensors that tell it level info. Then it spins the wheels to rock to chassis back into its wheels.

It does that thing you never supposed to do if you like your spur gear. Full throttle forward>full reverse/repeat

Well Horizon Hobby is amazing and is sending me a new pair of wheels/tires at no cost. So happy I went through them for my purchase.

Also made an impulsive buy today off eBay. Got a “brand new” Losi Lasernut RTR that has a diff issue with the Spektrum 8s charger/battery bundle. Couldn't pass up the deal as my Twin Hammer has way too much to fix/upgrade and I've been really wanting to try out the Spektrum Smart batteries. The battery bundle alone was 3/4th of the cost of the whole package so a win IMO.

Anyone have any experience with the Lasernut? Love my Senton, but seen its limits in tall grass, so this will fill the gap just fine.

I have a couple of Losi's and been really happy, especially the 10MT. Riley would chase my cars and I used to let him do that. The 10MT is quick and nimble in the grass to be confident I could back off and let him catch up a bit before hammering down so he didn't catch it :D
