I get that once in a while, luckily my boss and his boss know my attitude, patience, work ethic and knowledge and back me up when dipshits think they know more than I do.

Reminds me of one time a known troublemaker called and I was walking her through a fix. Under her breath, but obviously loud enough for me to hear it called me a F*n Retard.

I hung up the phone, walked strait to my bosses boss(mine wasn't in) and explained what happened. She went to the person and I wish I was there to see the fireworks.

Later that day the person had to make a public apology to our whole unit. It was great fun.

This is why I don’t deal with the public to much.
When they start to turn the things I say around and question what I do then it gets cold real fast.
It’s been a while since I’ve gone off on a customer because my filters right now are plugged and non existent. It would not be a pretty situation.
    So I stay out back.
All the writers know I very rarely will talk to one on my own accord.
If they want to bring one out I ask how they are.
If they say ok then it’s a flag for me and I kinda stay away and evaluate.

Not a day goes by we are not insulted, ridiculed , demeaned, etc.
Just read the threads in here..
    Apologies never happen.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game.
    It sucks.
We can’t do things in a way that makes it easier for us...
    Myself I’m winding down.
If and when I retire my hands won’t be tied.
Then I won’t have to worry about what I say entirely..Ye haaaa... lol

@Tacoma Mike might you have an opinion on this? I swapped high beam bulbs in the minivan with Toshiba’s modified to fit the 9005 socket. It was rough, took me 2 hours to install as I had to remove the battery entirely to gain access. There was a metal pin in the way which I didn’t realize until I was able to get my head in and see it. Had to secure the bulb first, then the connector.

In the process I lost the dust cap. Took apart the lower plastic splash guards trying to find it. Looked all over the driveway. No dice. It’s probably lodged somewhere I can’t see or reach.

Would you leave it as-is given the tight space? Or would you take the time to remove and repair or replace it? I also might be able to smother it with more high temp silicone without removing things if I get a tube that’s small enough to fit.

I’m leaning towards leaving as-is since the bulbs were pricey and access is so tight that I don’t think it’s a safety concern. I’d feel differently if this were the low beams. But if someone says I should really swap it, then I could get a second set and replace it, then remember to recycle the dust cap if it burns out. I just don’t see them getting enough use to burn out, even with auto headlights always on.

    Good Morning all :pumpkin:

Don't need anymore rain. Yard is like walking on a sponge.

I can relate to this. I can bring up an issue to my first shift counterpart or the "staff" and they don't listen. Now I respond with, "I'm just a dumb 2nd shifter and don't know what the f#$% I'm talking about." I just walk away thinking that I would've been better off talking to a light pole in the parking lot. Usually a week later I here "WE" found a problem and "WE" fixed it. O'well it makes them fell superior.
Nice thing about cellphones is I take pictures of issues to back up my words.

For your situation it may not matter. If it affects the bulbs then you lose two bulbs.

    Morning all

My boss and I have a 30 year history, we don't see eye to eye . But in these cases he totally backs me up. I did call him.
I think my filters have clogged. I tend to tell the customers what I feel.

I'm the guy the specialists call.
