I have a 2009 regular cab 4x4 tacoma and the guy at the local shop told me that the regular cab is a different angle than the double cab and extended cab. with a different angle the leers and snugtops dont fit correctly. if thats true what shell is made for me and looks the best?

It wouldn't affect a tonneau, only the shells that fit tight and follow the contours of the cab. I've heard that before but also seen people use snugtops or Leers meant for an access cab on a regular cab. It's really tight at the top since the regular cab doesn't angle inward but people have made it work. I'd be worried about the bed flexing and the cab and shell hitting if you off-road.

3m clear bra or Venture, stant locking gas cap, Shield, front windows tinted, weathertechs, ARE "Z" topper. Sockmonkey decal, Billy 5100's x 4 corners, Eibach coils, Toytec 1.5 AAL. Michelin 265/75/16 MS2's, Grillcraft MX series/TOYOTA badging. FJ/SE TRD Anthracite gray wheels. Katzkin leather/heated seats.
Simply call your local Snugtop, LEER, or ARE topper dealer. They know, they sell em.

When I bought my ARE "Z" topper the ARE dealer still measured my bed, wrote the measurements down with the order he faxed to ARE.

Yeah I think it will work just won't look perfect, but will still look great. Hell I think my topper is for a second gen and is completely a different color. It barely fits but I got it for a steal so yeah haha
